Raphael: [Notice - The Ultimate Skill: Lust Queen Aphrodite has begun its awakening. Estimated time to completion...6 days.]
Aphrodite...wasn't she like the goddess of love or something in greek mythology? Wait a minute, now that I think about it, hasn't the skill been dormant since my arrival in this world? Why is it activating now?
Me: [Say Raphael, is there any consequence to her activation?]
Raphael: [I estimate that Aphrodite will evolve into a Manas class entity before completing her awakening?]
Me: [Is that...er...good?]
Raphael: [The evolution will make master stronger...]
Me: [But?]
Raphael doesn't respond immediately which in and of itself is cause for concern but I don't get the chance to think about it much as Shion comes running towards me.
Shion: Lord Rimuru!
Me: There's no need to-
Shion: I'm sorry I overslept!
Me: Huh?
Shion: We're late!
Me: For what?
Shion: Your speech before the people of Dwargo!
Oh right. Gazel did ask me to show that we're friendly and not a threat. To that end, he organized a public address to the nation in which I would make the intentions of our "friendship" known by addressing his people directly. Whether we'd enter into an alliance or not depends on whether I manage to convince them that we're "worthy" of their friendship.
I'd gotten so sidetracked by the prior night's events that I'd completely forgotten...
Me: Go on ahead.
Shion: But-
Me: There's someone I need to check on first.
She opens her mouth to argue but just as quickly decides against it.
Shion: As you wish, my lord.
Turning away, she begins walking towards the centre of town but I remain rooted to the spot until she's out of view. Once the area is clear, I turn and make my way over to a nearby wooden door. Opening it, I step inside to find a naked, sleeping Shuna. It's the first time I've seen her so vulnerable, so beguiling. It's as if her body is begging me to come over, however, with Raphael's help I manage to stay my course.
Walking over to the side of the bed, I take the time to examine her body for any visible wounds but find that she's already healed. Still, just to make certain, I run my fingers across her bare skin and watch as her body arches under my touch. She continues pretending to sleep even as my fingers continue making their way past her waistline.
Me: Good morning, Shuna.
She doesn't respond, so I pinch her clitoris, wringing it around until the skin threatens to rip free then watch as she squirms about in a mixture of pain and ecstasy. Gripping herself, she takes great care to cover the area so that I cannot repeat my attack but there are more delicate areas to go for.
Leaning down, I watch as she squeezes her eyes shut then smirk to myself. Positioning my mouth just above her nearest nipple, I call to her a second time but she still refuses to respond so I bite down...hard.
Shuna screams. There's not a single trace of pleasure within her voice as her lungs belt out the highest of notes. Even without looking, I'm certain that this has left a mark.
Me: Good morning.
Shuna: G-g-g-g-o-ood m-m-m-orn-ing.
Now that she's certainly awake, I muster my strength before swinging my palm. It's target? Her ever-growing ass. The strike hits true and I'm left mesmerised as it jiggles to and fro.
Me: Come on, we have an appointment to catch.
Shuna: I-
Hoisting her up out of the bed, I'm already at the door when she finally relents. Putting her down, I watch as she tries to hastily get dressed while avoiding areas ripe with pain.
Raphael: It might be prudent to administer a healing potion.
Me: Do you want a potion?
Shuna: I...thank you.
She takes it, placing it on her skin and instantly gets restored. With the pain now gone, she finishes up quickly and before long I find myself standing before a massive crowd having just been introduced by King Gazel, himself.
Gazel: ...Lord Rimuru, a word if you will.
Me: People of Dwargo, I come to you not to make empty promises or to enchant you with political speech. My message today is simply this: I propose an alliance between our peoples, one of trade and mutual defence, one that benefits all parties involved. It will not be without its challenges but together, we shall overcome anything.
????: We don't need your help!
????: Why should we fight others' battles?
????: We should remain neutral!
Gazel: You heard them. Why should we enter into an alliance with you? You've offered nothing so far but empty words. How can they trust that you have the power to back up your words?
Shion looks like she's ready to pounce but I hold up my hand, getting everyone to quiet back down.
Me: You've asked why break your neutrality now...well, it is simple really. My nation already possesses the strength required to wipe yours off the map.
????: Is that a threat?
????: A-
Me: To your north, the Eastern Empire also possesses the same. To the south, there's yet another nation that could turn against you at any moment and it too possesses the strength required to conquer your nation. Sure, you can claim neutrality but what happens when you are eventually attacked? What then?
????: They wouldn't dare!
Me: Beelzebuth!
From my hand, Beelzebuth emerges, blanketing the entire city and plunging it into darkness. There are screams and the sounds of swords being drawn but I don't so much as budge.
Me: You claim that you possess strength yet here we are. I could kill you all right now and you wouldn't be able to prevent it.
Recalling Beelzebuth, I find that most of the civilians are cowering in fear. I've certainly gotten my point across.
Me: Make no mistake about it. I do not offer this alliance out of a need for your strength. I offer this alliance out of friendship. I offer this alliance because King Gazel and I have come to a mutual understanding. My nation, the Jura Tempest Federation, will come to your aid in times of need. We will be brothers and sisters in arms, fighting towards the ultimate goal: A world where all are welcome. So, will you stand with us...or-
...
...
...
...
Gazel: If there are no objections, then let this day mark the beginning of a new age. Let the alliance between Dwargo and Tempest forever remain strong, together, united!
There are cheers from the crowds but I'm 100% certain that I messed up. I pretty much bullied them into accepting our aid, all but saying that refusal would be tantamount to declaring their eagerness to cease existing.
Is that really okay?
Raphael: [No.]
Bish...you couldn't even wait until I finished?
Shuna: Lord Rimuru?
Me: Hmm?
Turning around, I find Shion and Shuna standing there all smiles.
Me: Shion, Shuna, let's go home.
