CHAPTER TWO.
teenage dances

——When they reached the gymnasium, Grover immediately pointed towards the suspected Demigods. Danica slapped his hand down, "don't point, Grover. It's rude."

The four turned look at her, all of them looked at her as if to say 'what the fuck?'. Danica shrugged and turned back to look at the Demigods. "Bianca and Nico Di Angelo."

The girl had her face covered with a green cap, she had dark hair and it kinda covered her face too. The boy was the younger out of the two, you could easily by his childlike features, while his sister had begun to mature more. Both of their hair was dark, they had olive skin and had taken a liken to talking with their hands. The boy, Nico, was playing with some kind of card game, while Bianca seemed to be scolding him about something.

"Do they know?" Danica asked, subtly keeping her eyes on the siblings.

Grover shook his head, his curls bouncing with the action. "You know first hand how it is, Dani. That can put them in a lot more danger. Once they realise who they are, their scent becomes stronger."

"So, let's grab them and get out of here."

Danica turned to the boy, she stared his him dumbfounded. "Sure, let's grab the two half bloods, while we're in a military school and they don't even know who they are!" she rolled her eyes at him. "And the creepy doctor is already suspecting us, we walk right towards them, we're dead. buried. six feet deep. I, unlike yourself, do not have a death wish."

Percy narrowed his sea green eyes at her with a sarcastic smile. Dr. Thorn had slipped his way into the gymnasium, heading towards the bleachers, not far from where the Di Angelos were sitting. His eyes staring at them coldly, Danica could've sworn they glowed.

"Jeez, my bad, star."

"Don't look at the kids," Thalia ordered. She had this scary capability of making anyone do what she wanted when she wanted, a natural born leader thing. Most of the time, she used it to try and get Danica to listen to her, especially when they were younger, it rarely worked and Thalia wouldn't openly admit it. "We need to wait for a chance to get them. We need to pretend we're not interested in them. Throw him off our scent."

"How?"

"I'm sure, four powerful half bloods can throw him off. Our presence should confuse him." Danica said, looking around the gymnasium. It had been a long time since she'd been in one, most of the time she'd write a letter pretending to be her aunt, or when school dances came around she'd have been told she wasn't to attend.

"Mingle. Act natural. Do some dancing. But keep an eye on those kids."

"Dancing?" Annabeth asked. Thalia nodded, she cocked her ear towards where the music was blasting. "Ugh. Who choose the Jesse Mccartney."

"I did." Grover looked a little hurt at Thalias words.

"Oh my Gods, Grover. That is so lame. Can't you play, like Green Day or something?"

"I was thinking some Queen, or The Strokes." Danica butted in. They were really the only records Travis and Connor had stole the last time they visited New York, or snuck into the confiscated items room in the Big House. The Hephaestus kids were able to make them a record player that didn't need to be plugged in.

"Green who?"

"Never mind. Let's dance." she said. "But I can't dance."

"You can if she's leading." chuckled Danica, Thalia grinned back at her. "Come on, Goat boy. You too, Annie."
