POV Xavier

- Where did you learn how to mute alarm systems? - Wednesday was impressed by my skills.
- How do you think I took my father's motorcycle? - I cocked my eyebrow and gave her a foxy smile. - This alarm system is older than my grandma.
When Wednesday finished with the lock, I snatched the handle and the door opened. I sneaked inside and once I saw that there was not a single soul in the office I let Wednesday come in.
We turned on the torches at our phones to observe the room better.
It was a small decrepit room with a gigantic wooden table in the middle flanked by two yellow armchairs.
- What a dinosaur, - I commented when I saw a computer at the table.
It seemed like Wednesday didn't even hear my words. She detoured the table heading for a miniature chamber behind it. The chamber resembled a closet and I even didn't notice it from the first glance.
- Well, that's something, - she mumbled to herself sorting out millions of folders which were resting on the shelves for ages in the chamber.
- What is that? - I asked shining a flashlight but I didn't get the answer because suddenly Wednesday tilted her head back and her eyes got rounded. She started falling having a vision. I swiftly caught Wednesday and carefully put her down resting her head on my chest. I felt Wednesday's warm cheek near my heart and pulled her closer. I embraced Wednesday's body wrapping her with my arms taking care she was comfortable as much it could be at this moment.

It was the first time I was witnessing Wednesday having a vision and I got scared: "What if she is not going to wake up?" "Of course she is!" - I calmed myself down in my inner dialogue.

I looked at Wednesday and stroked her cheek. She was so vulnerable because of a power that made her so robust. I made a decision for myself: I will eradicate anyone who would lay a finger on her. All of the sudden Wednesday woke up and leaned forward breathing heavily. It seemed she was still captured by her vision. Wednesday looked in front of her seeing nothing. Her mind was processing the information.
- Are you okay? - I got alarmed because Wednesday couldn't stop breathing heavily. - What did you see?
- I am fine, - Wednesday stood up. She opened her mouth being eager to answer my second question but abruptly our ears detected the sound of steps just before the entering door of the office. Having turned off our torches we looked at each other panicked silently asking what we should do. Of course, the answer was to hide. But where? It was an extraordinary tiny room.
- Where is that key? - Francis was muttering to himself. He didn't know yet that the door had been already opened.
- Here, - I pushed Wednesday to the folder chamber. We had to squeeze and keep our bodies close to each other's as much as possible to have enough space for both. As soon as I closed the door to the chamber Polish entered the office. Wednesday and I both got frozen keeping our fingers crossed that Polish wouldn't get a sudden desire to look through his old folders in the chamber we were hiding in.

Wednesday was a head shorter than me and I felt her warm breathing at my chest and by heart started beating faster. She noticed that and brought her eyes up questioningly. Her shiny brown eyes looked black in the darkness and resembled onyx. I gulped under the glance of this girl, being nervous not because I was going to have huge problems with the law if I got caught, but because the girl, for whom I would stop breathing, was staring at me right now.
- I must have forgotten to lock the door, - Polish continued talking to himself. - Why did I come back? - He was much older than he was at the photo in the business card. - I forgot again. - Polish scratched his bold head and trudged to the exit.
Francis went away so we could leave our shelter.
I rolled down the entrance door and peeled through the crack. There was nobody so we could safely get out.

I gave Wednesday a signal to follow me and she nodded. We left the building, made several steps down the street, looked at each other, and started running for the hills.

We stopped only when we had ran several quarters and got to more densely populated district.

We glanced at one another again and I burst into laughter. I could bet that the smile lurked on Wednesday's lips. My glance detained on them and she noticed that:
- Are you okay?
- Yes, yes, sure, I am fine, - I hid my hands in pockets. - Wanna eat? I am hungry like a wolf. Maybe we could find a cafe?
Wednesday didn't reply but she didn't protest so I considered it as a consent.

"Wednesday Addams agreed to have lunch with me", - I smirked to myself.

- Why are you grinning? - Wednesday questioned me.
- Nothing.
