POV Xavier

There was nothing but darkness around me, but it was so peaceful as it never was before. Now I got why Wednesday loved darkness so much. There was no ground, wind or air in that place, and I had a weird feeling of existence and nonexistence at the same time, just like I was a part of everything and nothing simultaneously. The white light shone like a star far away from me, but the closer I was getting to it, the brighter and bigger it was turning out to be. I leaned forward, willing to touch the light and merge with it forever, maybe there I would meet Wednesday. But the terrible squeaky noise pierced my ears, and it dragged me away from the light, despite I was gravitating towards it as much as I could.

I opened my eyes and observed the blurry world. The squeaky sound was replaced by beeping. I inhaled, the chilly air filled in my lungs, that felt like the first breath in my life. I tried to move my head but every teeny change of its position brought me sharp splash of pain. I pointed my eyes at the right side from my bed and saw a blurry black figure, slightly moving near me. Maybe Death changed their mind and came to take my soul?
I squinted, my vision got slightly better and I managed to recognise the face of a person who was staring at me.
Morticia Addams stared at me with worry and curiosity, and once she made sure I was conscious she smiled with a relief. She squeezed my hand, while I was watching her, feeling suspicious considering her previous attitude towards me:
- You will be fine, - Morticia said with a sad smile. - Thing called us on the ball of predictions, and we called the police.  When you were found, you haven't breathed for several minutes but medics managed to bring you back to life.
- Vincent? - I wanted to know if my father  was worried, at list a little bit, about me.
- He was here, - Mrs. Addams noted uncertainty and switched her eyes to the window. - But he has already gone. He is taking part in the investigation of Stacey's crimes.
- Tyler?
- Criminals managed to escape, and no one knows of Tyler is alive. Stacy took him with her.
WEDNESDAY.
That stroke my head, and a blunt pain broke out inside my head like a storm. I had to know if Wednesday was okay.
I moved my finger first, then I managed to
squeeze Mrs. Addams hand slightly, conveying my numb question with my eyes full of fear and anxiety. Morticia frowned for a second, deciphering my weak thoughts, and then the muscles on her face got numb before they tensed again, exposing Morticia's grieving heart.
- She is alive.
I smiled widely. Warmth fulfilled my body and it seemed I felt better myself. I squeezed Morticia's hand again, but her eyes got wet, full of dismay. Mrs. Addams bit her lip swallowed like she was trying to make herself talk. In a while she pushed the words out of her mouth:
- But she in coma, - in a couple of seconds Mortician continued. - She was sophisticatingly tortured and... Poison was found in Wednesday's blood and it became a reason for comatose, but noone knows which poison it was.
The whole joy of news evaporated. Morticia continued talking:
- The chances that she will wake up... are low. And I can't see anything positive about her future, - I almost forgot that Morticia was a Dove.
My heart turned into the stone in a nick of time, then the cracks covered it all along. My heart just blew out, being not ready for the truth. I could almost hear my mind breaking:
- Wednesday will wake up, - I whispered to Marticia, refusing to accept the reality. Her eyes got widen for a moment and she sadly smiled again. Of course, Wednesday couldn't just die, right?
- You are a good boy, - Morticia touched my cheek how mother would stroke her child. - I am sorry for treating you... unfairly. It's only because of the prophecy.
- Prophecy? - I frowned and fell how every single muscle on my face hurt.
- She didn't tell you? - Morticia regretted she mentioned the prophecy now.
- No, - it was easier to respond with one word than to shake my head.
- My mother was a witch and according to her prophecy, if you are together, you will meet death. And the prophecy started coming truth.
- That could explain a lot, - I mumbled. It looked like the prophecy came true. I was dead for several minutes. And Wednesday got the border between life and death. What if..?
