When Bruce was home, he walked upstairs in a haze. He didn't exactly regret what he'd done, it was just awkward timing. Besides, what would Vance think?

"Bruce, mom asked if you were going to eat?" Amy said when Bruce reached the top of his stairs.

"No, I'm not hungry," Bruce shook his head, walking into his room.

Amy walked in, giving Bruce a confused look.

"What's up with you?" Amy questioned, crossing her arms.

"Nothing. Get out," Bruce groaned, pushed Amy out his door.

"You just seem out of it again. Should I tell mom?" Amy asked, her tone quickly changing to sounding worried.

"No, it's not like that. I'm just tired, okay?" Bruce said impatiently. Amy nodded and trudged back down the stairs.

Bruce shut his door and sat down at his desk. He pulled out his phone, turned his ringer back on and placed it on his desk.

Bruce stood up and reached for his laptop on his bed. He turned his head as his phone buzzed. He dropped his laptop and headed back to snatch his phone.

Vance <3
Hi

Bruce
Hey!

Vance <3
???????!!?!?????????????????

Bruce
What

Vance <3
Sooo your just not gonna say anything what just happened.

Bruce
Wdym?

Vance <3
What do you think???
You kissed me??

Bruce
Yeahh i feel this is an in person type conversation. Tomorrow?

In person?? Vance thought that had to be a good sign. Just one more day and Vance can finally get his reward.

But there's just one slight problem. Vance had actually grown to care for Bruce. He even considered the possibility he likes Bruce too.

He can't. He was just for a bet. Bruce doesn't know that. Nobody except him and Aaron know about it. There's simply no way Bruce could find out.

(Anotha one. Its a time skip. Bc everything else is unnecessary)

Bruce waited outside the school, filled with confident, yet utterly scared. School was already over, he didn't want to be interrupted by anyone or anything while they talked.

He had caught a glimpse of Vance throughout the day, and to say the least, he constantly looked confused. Not just school confused, but confused on a more personal matter. It feels obvious what it is.

Vance walked to the school front doors, stressing wildly. He tried hiding it, but he knew Aaron sensed something was up. Vance hadn't told him anything just yet.

"Vance, hey," the sudden voice made Vance's head snap to his side. He saw it was only Bruce.

"Hi," was all Vance managed to say.

"Come with me," Bruce said, taking a step backwards, waiting for Vance to follow before he turned around and walked forward.

"Listen, yesterday.. I'm not denying anything. I kissed you because — because I like you. A lot," Bruce said, abruptly stopping and staring at the ground. He fidgeted nervously with his fingers.

His confidence had faded away into nothing, only his scared feelings were left. It felt familiar, being so scared he couldn't move.

Bruce was slightly hoping Vance would walk away, because if Bruce had to talk anymore he felt he might cry. There are endless possibilities of what Vance could respond with.

He was feeling so confident. What happened? Weird how things can change so quickly without even realizing it at first.

"I like you too." Bruce's head shot up from those simple four words.

"You do?" Bruce whispered.

Vance didn't want to say yes. He didn't want to kiss Bruce. He just wanted for everything to stop. Vance knows he's beginning to care. He knows it'll only hurt more because it's all just for a stupid bet.

Vance didn't want to do any of that. But he did it anyways.

"Yes," Vance nodded, inching closer to Bruce. Most people had cleared out by now, it was only them.

"Can I kiss you?" Bruce awkwardly asked. Vance nodded yet again, a smile forming on his face. Bruce pulled him in and Vance kissed back.

Vance loved it. He shouldn't, but he did. He pulled away first, keeping his smile.

"I have to be home. See you tomorrow, Vance," Bruce said with a smile and a small wave.

Vance watched for a second as Bruce walked away. He turned forward and tightly shut his eyes, inhaling sharply. He exhaled slowly and opened his eyes.

Vance pulled his phone out of his pocket, dialling Aarons number.

"Yo," Aaron answered with.

"He kissed me. He likes me," Vance said, all emotions drained from his voice.

"Holy shit. No way. No mother fucking way! But ay, he has to say he loves you. That was the bet," Aaron cocky tone was heard perfectly through the phone.

"Yeah, I know. This could take months!" Vance complained.

"So? Suck it up, buttercup. I go to go now, see you later man," Aaron said before hanging up.

Aaron slammed his phone down on his messy desk. He swore under his breath. The bet was going to easy, Vance had one thing in his way, but it was solved so quickly. Something more had to happen.

Aaron knew just what he had to do.

Once Bruce got home, he had to walk Amy to Denise's, then to Elias' again.

"Denise literally got a dog," Amy started talking.

"Oh my god she literally got a dog!?" Bruce mimicked her sister.

"Shut up. Ugh. It's better than you," Amy rolled her eyes.

"Wow, thank you," Bruce laughed gently. Amy shoved Bruce with her shoulder.

They soon arrived to Denise's house then set off to Elias'. Denise was her usual chipper self.

Amy and Denise bolted inside after they reached Elias' house. Bruce made sure Amy had her phone first.

Before Bruce had a chance to walk away, Aaron walked outside and called out his name.

"Yeah?" Bruce asked, confused.

"Come up here," Aaron waved for him to walk onto their porch. Bruce nodded and walked up to Aaron.

"Vance told me you two kissed," Aaron mentioned. Bruce slowly nodded. "So, you really like him, don't you?"

"Yes, of course I do. He's the best person I've met," Bruce said genuinely.

"Then this ain't gonna be easy. You might want to take a seat," Aaron warned, gesturing to his bench.

Bruce furrowed his brows, visibly confused. He say down nonetheless.

"From the start, I guess. Vance, he um. Only became friends with you for a bet," Aaron told him.

"Okay.. weird. It's ended up well though, hasn't it? I don't really care. Thanks for telling me though," Bruce shrugged.

"There was a second bet. A bet for Vance to fall in love with you."
