Kireyi

Her dream hunt was eating her up, and it seemed the same with the other trainees. Only one passed away, and a ceremony would be held soon for the boy. They had been dismissed to go back to the main beach and take some time for themselves.

Kireyi mindlessly followed Neteyam as he brought the two to their hideout, the walk silent. Sitting the two of them down he took her hands into his own, facing her instead of sitting beside her, "What happened Ma Reyi?"

Her eyes stuck to their hands, not listening to the boy. He squeezed her hand softly, "Kireyi?" She looked up, a slight jump as she was brought back to reality, "What happened?"

"I don't know...." Kireyi's eyes moved everywhere, unsure of what to say. A bad feeling weighing her down.

Neteyam moved closer, needing to look up to her as he leaned, "Something is wrong though..." Tears threatened to fall when she looked at him, and she silently nodded. She stayed still as he moved closer, "What is it?"

It took the girl a few seconds to answer, "Spider was there... and the forest. It doesn't feel right...." The tears finally fell as worry took over. Dread filled her body, she knew something was wrong with her dream. That Eywa was warning her of something.

She hadn't cried hard, but it didn't stop the tears that fell. Neteyam pulled her close and she basked in the boy's comfort. He gently brushed her hair, and her forehead laid against his shoulder, "It'll be alright Ma Reyi."

"I don't know.... I don't know Neteyam-" She cried more and he stayed silent, simply comforting the girl. When she calmed he pulled her away, placing gentle kisses on her eyes and fixing her hair. Though his touch and soft words comforted the girl, worry still ate at her. She hadn't grown close to Spider, but if something happened to him- or if he betrayed the Sullys again she wouldn't know what to do or how to feel. The most Kireyi knew is it would hurt.

"I'm sorry...." Her ears fell, and so did her eyes.

"For what? You haven't done anything wrong, it is okay to worry," He had been softly lining his fingers with her forehead and ear, wiping down the curve of her hairline towards her ear. Repeating the action as it soothed the girl, "We can only hope things will be okay, that perhaps we are just overthinking Eywa's will."

"Can we keep an eye on him?"

"Of course Ma Reyi, would you like to let the other's know too?" The idea was smart, but how would it mess up the relationship he'd been rebuilding with the Sullys?

"No.... I don't want them to distance from him again. Maybe we can tell my siblings instead," She offered the idea, and Neteyam nodded in approval.

"Yeah that's a good idea. Are you excited though? We leave in four days," Kireyi's mood shifted at the reminder, and she seemed to ease more.

"I want to ride with you and your Ikran," A soft smile laced her lips and Neteyam was grateful he could help her calm down.

"We already talked about that, of course you can," Kireyi nodded, moving to lean her back on the boy's arm.

"Why didn't you do your dream hunt?"

"I've already completed it back home, so your father let me pass," She made a small "o" noise in understanding. The two continuing to talk.

The four days were up, and it was time to leave. Kireyi, Aonung, Neteyam, and Rotxo's warrior ceremonies were to be put on hold for their return, and now they would head for the forest. The two families were now near the same shoreline where the Sullys had first arrived, saying their goodbyes. Kireyi and her siblings wouldn't let go of their parents, attached to their hips the past week. Now that it was time to leave though, it was almost impossible to get the three children away from their parents.

Neteyam's family had been the same with their father, the man not able to go back. They even decided for Spider to go with, to gain more time before fully making their decision.

Kiri watched around them, for any sign of their other traveler, Rotxo. She had hoped he would be coming, not hearing the news of his ceremony being held off. So as he approached with a big smile she quickly pulled him over, unable to hide her excitement for once.

"I will keep them same Ma Jake, don't worry," Neytiri reassured. She also made sure to speak with Tonowari and Ronal, assuring them of their children's safety.

"I know...."

They all proceeded to say their goodbyes, and got onto the Ikrans. Kireyi sat between Neteyam and her brother, and her heart beat at the idea of leaving. She felt a mix of emotions, being both excited to experience the forest and upset about leaving her family for three months. She didn't know if she wanted time to pass quickly or not, it was all new emotions to the girl; for now she decided to stay excited.

"Ready Aon?" She giggled a little, excited to see how her brother would react to take off on the Ikran. His reaction didn't disappoint as he yelled, but Rotxo's reaction from farther away made everyone laugh. The boy yelling and screaming in fear.

She still couldn't believe it was time, and they would finally be heading towards the forest.

hey everyone it is forest time now! i love and appreciate everyone's support SO much but i've been getting some backlash recently about my new posting schedule of every other day because of my new story. i've received both comments and messages about how i need to hurry up or constant bother of "when are you gonna update" etcetc. i've especially received some for uploading this a day late instead of yesterday and i want to remind everyone this story is for FUN.

i enjoy interacting with everyone and seeing their reactions just as much as i love writing this. but this is not a job and even though i have a schedule to keep me organized, that is not a set schedule that will always be followed as it's for organization. i am not entitled or even responsible fully to update directly on those days or for you all so i really hope you can keep that in mind and stop being rude about that.

for those of you who have stayed nice and been patient i really appreciate you all! you have really been patient through my new schedule especially with me packing and moving right now and it means the world to me. i am grateful for all of the people who love this story and thank you! <3
