Arabella's pov:
That night, I "came home" right after Clint went to bed, ignoring all questions about where I was. I just told Tony that I lost track of time, and he left me alone. The next night, I'm going to scare Clint.
The next morning:
Lily wanted to see what would happen with Clint, so she came over and hung out with me all day.
"I dare you to... ask out Jaxson!" Lily dared me. "WHAT?" I gasped. "Yeah. Ask him out on a date on Friday night." Lily nodded. "Ugh, fine. But what's in it for me?" I asked. "Um, a date with your crush? How is that not a benefit?!" I rolled over on my bed and groaned as I texted Jaxson.
Ari: Heyyy
Jaxson: Wassup
Ari: Wyd
Jaxson: Not much
Jaxson: Wbu
Ari: Idk nothing rlly.
Ari: Wanna go out to eat somewhere on Friday night?
Jaxson: Like a date or what
Ari: Sure yeah
Jaxson: ok
Ari: Meet me at the Avengers Tower around 7:30 on Friday
Jaxson: Ok cool
"AHHHHHH! IT'S A DATE!" I screamed, throwing my phone across the room. "Lemme see!" Lily grabbed it and scrolled through our conversation.
Later that night:
"Okay, Clint is in the shower. We need to be quiet. Just follow me." I whispered. "Okay, where should I hide?" She whispered while I turned intangible. "The doorway. He'll be too scared to look there." "Okay. Get FRIDAY to record." I nodded and turned entirely invisible. We went to Clint's bedroom, and I slipped under the bed. Lily hid behind the doorframe and watched. After about five minutes, Clint came out of the shower in his pajamas. I turned intangible, suddenly feeling happy that me and Lily chose cheesy, all-black outfits. I had no interest in getting Clint's attention and ruining the surprise.
Just as I had planned, Clint looked under his bed, just to be met with a ghost in a Ghostface mask that Lily brought from her house. "AHHHHHH! WHAT THE HELL!" He screamed, getting Tony's attention. "Oh my gosh, did you girls really scare Clint? Wow." Tony was laughing so hard, he was turning red. "I'm so proud of you Ara." He high fived me.
Friday:
"Lily! Come over, I need your help getting ready!" I called her, then hung up immediately. She arrived five minutes later with some makeup. "Okay, I need to pick out a dress."
After a bit of debating, we chose this dress:
"Okay, because it's a fancy restaurant, we should put your hair up in some fancy style!" Lily suggested. I nodded and led her to the bathroom. "Here, my mom taught me how to do this when I was younger. You'd look good in it." Lily said, putting my hair into this:
"Okay, and lastly, your makeup. I found a bunch a different looks for you." Lily showed me different designs on her phone, and eventually, I chose this:
"Okay, you ready for your big date?" Tony asked me, smirking as I got my plain black heels on. "Listen Ara, if you need anything, don't worry about it, I'll take care of it. Gosh, I can't believe that you're going on a date already!" He hugged me. "I've been on dates before, chill out." I smiled as Lily left. "Well, I gotta go. Jaxson's downstairs." I hugged Tony one more time, then left.
