The Woman Out of Reality (Steve Rodgers x Reader)

⍟ Chapter 20 ⍟

You and Steve woke up at the same time. You just looked at each other. You put a hand on each other's cheek. "Good morning, Love." You said while smiling. He kissed you. "Good morning love. Let's go check on Bucky." You nodded.

You guys got ready for the day. 

You guys headed out of your room. You and Steve both knocked on his door. "Hey, Bucky can we come in." You heard a muffled "Yeah." You nodded and opened the door. You saw Bucky watching the compilation of what happened over the 50 years he didn't quite know. You had Jay make that for you while you were gone. 

You smiled pleased that he was catching up "I see you're watching that compilation I had Jay make you." He looked up. You guys pointed to the bed. He nodded. You both sat on the bed crossed-legged. You sighed "How did you sleep?" He looked at you with content "Really good. I know you didn't heal the mental and emotional trauma. But I guess I see this as a safe space for me so I slept soundly. Different from the sleep you put me under. It was just sedation but this was rest."

You felt warm inside "That's great. Ready for some breakfast." He licked his lips "Yup. Im ready to eat." You clapped your hands together "Great, After breakfast. Im gonna give you a tour of the tower so you know your way around. Steve would do it. But he doesn't know how to explain some of the stuff. Im going to let you meet my brother." He smiled feeling excited "That would be amazing."

You nodded and you guys headed out. You got down to the kitchen. You saw Nat and Briggs. You and Nat didn't talk much for the past few months assassin stuff. Nothing personal. 

You started to run to him excitedly "OH MY FUCKING GOD BRIGGS. YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE. I MISSED THE FUCK OUT OF YOU." He turned around and ran to you "I MISS THE FUCK OUTTA YOU TOO. YOU ASSHOLE." You guys met in the middle and hugged each other nearly knocking each other to the ground. "How have you been Y/N? It's been a long time." You smiled "Healing Bucky. Myself. Still with steve. Well, we took a three-month break but we are back together. This is Bucky."

He looked at Briggs and his eye went into predator mode "He was there. He was there when I got torched he was HYDRA." You and Steve both went in front of him "Yes he was. But HYDRA did many things to make people comply. Emotional blackmail was one of them. He was a victim of that. He was a victim just like you." Steve added "He told us everything. So he's good Buck." 

He looked at him and nodded. You and Steve stepped aside know that it was okay. "I'm sorry I didn't know. Say what did they use against you. Nat, they knew I was in love with you." He looked at Nat. "Natalia?" She looked at him with confusion then she remembered "Oh my god. I was trying to see why I recognized you. Not just from the mission. But from my past. You trained me in the red room."

You, Steve, and Briggs looked confused. Nat told you all to come to the island. She started to talk "Some unknown organization would often work with the Red Room to train widows. So Barns would come to the Red Room to specifically train me and me only. Turns out it was HYDRA." He smiled "I'm happy you got out. So you and Briggs a thing." She smiled "Yeah." 

You then rolled your eye "I remember saying. I had no reason to regret joining S.T.R.I.K.E. But turns out I was working with HYDRA the whole time. Except Nat and Briggs." Bucky said "You were S.T.R.I.K.E.?" Briggs answered him "Yeah, they didn't trust her enough to let her truly in. Because she would tell Steve and everybody loyal to S.H.I.E.L.D. That HYDRA was still active. Nat included."   

You then grimaced "Oh my god how stupid was I." You all laughed. You all had breakfast together.

You called Sebby "Hey, Sebby wanna meet Bucky in about an hour." He did a happy chuckle "Yeah sure, a great way to wind down. Spending time with you and the person I play." You then felt jealous in a joking way "You know what Im jealous. All you assholes have the people you play to meet. Me I have nothing." He laughed "Welp Im sorry." You rolled your eyes "Okay. Bye. I love you asshole." He smiled "I love you too dickhead. Bye." You both hung up.
