Ben sat in his club listening to the muffled sound of the music blaring in the club. He was still thinking of a way to get out of this business despite his dad being super proud and their relationship being better than it ever had been.

He loved his family but there was always a strain and distance because Ben felt different. He didn't embrace the lifestyle and he knew his dad resented him for that. He resented his dad even more for forcing this on him. He was considering doing exactly what his brother wanted. But he was afraid that even if he trained him he would be a hot head and involve himself in the gang and mafia territory wars.

The owner of one of the fastest growing gangs in the city was always trying to start drama with his family but with Joel's connections with the FBI and the agreement he made with the gang owners nothing really ever happened. But Ben could tell that this Donte character was slowly trying to start something. He was always sending someone to spy at his clubs and restaurants. He was trying to figure out the Cain operation.

Ben was startled out of his thoughts by a knock on his office door. When he yelled come in one of his body guards named Jayden and Luke walked in. "Boss there is someone out here that wants to speak with you. I think he's with the Vendettas," Jayden explained.

Ben felt his body stiffen but he stood up confidently. He put his suit jacket on and walked out of his office. Ben walked down to one of the VIP areas where Donte was surrounded by women and a couple of men that looked like some of his gang members based on the V symbol on their jackets. The dark chocolate man was short but very built from the open button up shirt he wore. Ben unbuttoned his jacket and pulled his pants up by the thighs slightly before sitting down while his body guards stood behind him.

"This is a nice establishment you have here. I wouldn't mind having something like this of my own," Donte said looking around.

"Thank you. I was told you wanted to talk," Ben said.

"Hmmm a direct, straight to the point man, no pleasantries or drinks for your guest."

Ben just sat there staring at him with a blank expression on his face. "Okay, well I'll just get straight to the point," Donte said sitting up.

"I think of myself and my group as a kingdom and I'm the king. I see territory or anything I want I'm going to go after it and get it. And since your father is so secured and even though you have body guards, you're not so I figured I'd just talk to you. And I want you to know  that I'm going after what I want....and I'm going to get it."

"I love that you're so confident," Ben said chuckling as he smiled and looked at Donte.

Ben's smile faded and his expression became menacing, "I know you've been able to grow your gang because you offer them pleasantries and make them feel like they can be rich and powerful beyond they're wildest dreams if they first join and do for you. But what y'all don't realize is that soon he isn't going to treat you like his council or his noble soldiers. Noooo....you will just become the peasants that do all his dirty work and who he looks down on," Ben said as he stared at the women and men whose faces went from looking cocky to mad and defeated.

"You may be trying to build your kingdom so you will try to be ruthless. But this kingdom here has been built and it has plenty of resources. I know how to be just as ruthless and will stop you before you even get started. Now you can leave," Ben said getting up and walking away.

His body guards stood there waiting until the group got up and they followed them out of the building. Ben made it back to his office and he sat down feeling rage because he wanted to smash Donte's face in but he had to play it cool and be more calculated to win the war that was about to come. Ben began feeling overwhelmed and anxious so he decided it was time to go home.
