Celebrate Love

Miranda stood in the mirror rubbing her belly and staring. A trip to her OB confirmed that she was only almost three months  pregnant. She was excited to be a mom and even though it was still so early she already imagined all that she would do as a mom. Ben was excited too because all he did for the last few days was rub and kiss her belly.

They had a busy day because they were going to go on a double date with Callie and Mark then they were going to enjoy a few days away with each other in the Bahamas. When Ben said a beach she thought it would be closer. When he said the place was the Bahamas Miranda just rolled her eyes internally and didn't complain because any woman would love a man that wanted to take them away to a luxurious island. Miranda heard her phone buzzing on the bed and when she picked it up it was Callie calling.

"Hey Miranda! I'm so excited for our date with our men tonight," Callie beamed.

"Oh that's what I wanted to talk to you about. Ben doesn't want to have our date at the club. He said he has a friend that owns El Gaucho that will let us come in and have our date."

"Awww okay, I was hoping we could share a drink where it all started."

"I will see if he will be up for that," Miranda said touching her belly, knowing that she wouldn't be drinking.

Miranda hung up the phone and called Ben.
Ben picked up the phone just as he was about to exit his office at the club.

"Hey baby, you okay?" Ben asked.

"Yes Ben, I'm fine but Callie keeps insisting we be at the club. So please, we can go for just one drink."

"She will end up finding out you're pregnant when we go to dinner and you're not drinking."

"It's fine if she knows but only if she asks. We don't have to be there for long baby. Plus it's your club so why don't you want us to be there?"

Ben wasn't sure how to answer because he didn't want to lie but he also didn't want to worry her."

"I just know you don't like the club scene, that's all baby."

"Well it'll be fine just for tonight baby and then we can go enjoy each other for a few days," Miranda said sweetly which made Ben smile.

"Okay, baby I will see you soon. I love you," Ben said before hanging up.

He walked downstairs to have a meeting with his men.

"Okay guys I need you on high alert tonight because I'm bringing my fiancé here. Donte and his crew have been scoping us out. I don't want his agenda of trying to claim territory to ruin what has been built here."

"If he's so big why can't he just create his own night club?" One of the men asked.

"Some people are envious and want to take what others have. He has always been envious of my family and I. I'm bringing my fiancée here tonight and I don't need there to be any issues while she is here. Got it."

"Got it boss," they all said collectively.

Curtis not soon after, walked in and followed Ben back up to his office. Once Ben sat at his desk, Curtis sat on the couch and looked at him for a moment.

"You know Donte isn't the only person you have to worry about. Dad is pissed off and no matter how much you say you're not going to be apart of the business he won't take no for an answer. Especially after you were loyal enough to let him know there is a mole in the operation.

"I wasn't trying to show loyalty, I was just being a person that loves his parent despite how much of an ass he is. Dad is going to have to learn that I'm a grown ass man and he has no choice," Ben spoke as he slammed his hand on the desk.
