Nightmare aftermath

"No, not yet Rei" Asami was pacing back and forth in what looked like Akane and Hayate's living room.

The building where Akane and Hayate were now living was once an old lab from the Support Course. Nezu had offered them one of the buildings that were dedicated for dorms but both Akane and Hayate refused as it was too much space for only the two of them. Instead they would use this old lab, which was no longer in use due to the school's new safety regulations.

The building was perfect as it was right behind the dorms but close to one of the training areas, it was in the middle of the forest on campus which was perfect for the siblings. In addition, the structure was already designed to act as a laboratory so the modifications were minimal, they simply modified some offices for Akane and Hayate's rooms.

And the bathrooms by adding a shower. The space was perfect for a small training area next to Hayate's tools.

"Oneechan. I have to leave you Misaki is about to kill me because I left her alone at the counter."

"Don't worry Rei, I'll text you when I know something" with that Asami hung up only to hear the front door open.

"We're home" announced Hayate entering the building with Akane in his arms, head tucked to his chest.

Asami ran to greet the siblings.

"Hayate-kun, how is Akane?" said the young woman arriving with the young man.

"She doesn't want to talk ... Recovery Girl healed her wounds but..." Hayate trailed his words looking at the teenage girl in his arms.

He knew she had been crying, as his shirt was wet in the area where the girl was hiding her face.

"Akane-chan... come Hayate-kun I have prepared the bath for her."

"I really appreciate it Asami, they already removed her armor at the infirmary so all that's left is to remove her full suit" said Hayate as he walked with Akane towards the bathroom.

"Don't worry Hayate-kun, you know whatever you need especially if it's about Akane-chan" Said the young woman as she looked tenderly at the young girl.

Hayate sat Akane in the bathtub before getting out and leaving the two females alone.

"If you need anything I'll be at my computer" sighed Hayate " Eraser asked me for all the information about the serum and Akane."

With that said the young man walked out of the bathroom.

"Akane-chan.." Asami gently called out to the girl "I'm going to help you out of your suit okay?"

Akane nodded her head slightly and let the brunette take off her suit.

"Asami-san.." the girl spoke almost in a whisper.

"Hmm?"

"I think, I can take care of the rest.... Do you think you can leave me alone for a while?" asked Akane, her head still downcast.

"Are you sure?" asked Asami softly to which Akane nodded.

"Alright, I'll go prepare you a change of clothes and a green tea just the way you like it" said the young woman as she placed one of the long raven locks behind the girl's elf ear.

"Thank you Asami-san" Akane gave her a small smile before Asami exited the bathroom.

Letting out a heavy sigh, Akane stood up from where she was, and walked over to the tub, sinking into it.
