Moments earlier, when Mandalay told everyone through telepathy that Akane and Kacchan were the villains' targets.
"Sensei, you heard Mandalay!" Kirishima snaps, outrage coloring his words. "They're after my friends, let me go with them, please!"
"I won't," Vlad states firmly, his expression unyielding.
"What?! Why?" Kirishima demanded, incredulous.
"Kirishima, calm down," Mina interjected, attempting to mediate.
"Are you not worried about them?" Kirishima pressed, desperation creeping into his voice.
Mina bristled, offense evident in her tone. "How dare you ask that? Of course, I'm worried!"
"Then why aren't we going after them?" Kirishima persisted, frustration mounting.
"Do you even know where Bakugo or Kuroo are?" Vlad counters, challenging Kirishima. The redhead clicks his tongue, at a loss for words.
Iida stepped in, his voice logical. "Sensei, if we don't know the enemy's numbers, wouldn't it be wiser to engage with more people?"
"Oi, Oi" Mineta's frightened voice drew everyone's attention "Don't tell me .... You guys want to go fight against the villains?!"
"Of course!" Kirishima declared, his resolve unwavering. "Even Aizawa-sensei told us to fight!"
"In self-defense only" emphasized Vlad "So that you guys could come back to the facility."
Kirishima clicked his tongue again, "If Akane had-"
Vlad cut him off, giving him a stern look, "But she didn't give the order. She's caused enough trouble letting you off that time."
Kirishima, Iida, and Kaminari exchanged glances, the unspoken reference to the I-Island incident hanging heavy in the air. Their fists tightened, frustration simmering beneath the surface.
A noise echoed outside the classroom, drawing the students' attention.
