Chapter 12

Engfa's POV

The day of The Grand Concert...

The day that the fans of Engfa Waraha have been waiting for. I will be performing both solo and with my friends from MGT, including Nudee, Tina and Charlotte. I am very nervous at the moment because I did not think that the moment I was looking forward to the most has finally arrived, a solo concert.

Before the show started, I asked Boss Nawat to hold a session to meet the fans individually. Each of them is allowed to capture a moment and have a word or two with me. This is my ways to show how much I appreciate the presence of my fans. Without them, I would not be at this level. So what's wrong with me spending some time with them? I truly love all of my fans.

I can not believe that the fans who are present today are not only from the region, but also some from abroad. They came just to see the concert tonight. I almost shed tears, I was so moved when I saw the fans' perseverance to this extent. I promise to make the best show ever so that what is presented can make them happy in the highest degree. 

An hour later, the meeting with the fans was over. I rushed to the preparation room to get ready. When I reached the room, a voice suddenly called my name. "Engfa wait a minute." I was surprised by the voice and turned around before walking further into the room. "Oh, Teena?" I said, still surprised by her presence in here. 

"I want to congratulate you on your success of being this far. I wish you all the best tonight." She said, while holding out a bouquet of yellow tulips to me. I just smiled and accepted the bouquet, not knowing what to say in return. What is she doing here? I do not want her to be seen by the others here.

"Thank you for coming. How did you get in here? Has anyone seen you here?" I asked her a few questions because I felt a little disturbed by her presence here. Before she had time to answer my question, I immediately asked her to take a picture, hoping she would leave this area soon.

After taking a photo together, I immediately excused myself to get ready. Luckily, she understood and left without much question. I breathed a sigh of relief. I don't want anyone else to see her here, so there won't be any drama in the future.

As I entered the room, I was once again got surprised by seeing Charlotte alone in the room, as if she were waiting for something. "P'Fa..." her voice was like a whisper.. She also seemed surprised to see me. "Charlotte...", my heart started beating fast. The atmosphere is very tense at this moment. We stared at each other as if we were at war with our own thoughts.

Charlotte began to speak. "I was waiting for you. But we seem to be running out of time to talk." Charlotte looked down at the floor, I felt a little lost because I couldn't look her in the eyes. How I miss those eyes.

"No. We have five minutes left," my voice is a little pleading. Please look at me. I need to see those eyes, they seem to be giving me strength tonight. Charlotte seemed to hear my appeal and looked at me. My eyes began to teary as soon as I could look into my favorite eyes again. I tried to smile, but eventually succumbed to the tears that came. Charlotte was crying too, even louder than I was.

Seeing Charlotte like that made me close the distance between us, I let go of the bouquet from my hold until it was scattered on the floor. I embraced Charlotte as tightly as I could until we cried in each other's arms. "P'Fa, why are we like this. I don't understand." She clutched her chest as if in pain.

"I do not know either." Charlotte's crying became even more violent when she heard my answer. "Char.. Please calm down.. we'll talk about this later, okay?  In fact  we have a trip to Koh Samui after the concert. We'll talk, I promised." I said that as I massaged her back trying to calm Charlotte down. "Do you remember our vow? We'll hold hands and walk together. I would never leave." Charlotte just nodded to show that she still remembered.
