"My son it wasn't your...fault that your mother died"
"I...Dad...You keep saying that like it didn't happen"
"But son...You have to stay strong for your mother and can you do that for her huh son?"
"Nothing remains the same...I might as well accept the lost"
"Come on (Y/N) let's go"
"Give me 10 minutes, please"
" *Sigh* You take your time then but I'll go home and make dinner for you son"

(Y/N)'s POV
It's been like a few days since Lloyd decided to command those snakes to build a treehouse for him and I am starting to have a bad feeling about the second in command named Skales.
Maybe Skales wants something from the Hynobrai general...Oh, I get it. He wants the staff, not hurting Lloyd.
~Time Skip~
No One's POV
(Y/N) is cooking food for everybody like soup or animal meat that I can find in the forest but finding food and some spices made me anxious.
I made fly up to Lloyd before landing beside him with a bowl of soup since it's like 9 or 10 in the morning right now since Lloyd woke up.
"Here is some soup Lloyd, you need it" I handed him a bowl of soup before he took it from my hand.
I watched him take slurp the soup since utensils were not available at the moment in the forest.
"This is great but also it's a little bit spicy" Lloyd commented on my soup before putting the bowl near him.
"Did something happen to you while I was away for a few hours Lloyd?" I asked in a worried tone.
"No...not at all (Y/N) and also your worry too much about me," He told me while watching the snakes work.
"I am your permanent guardian after all Lloyd" I crossed my arms at him because he sometimes forgot my duty at the time that he needed me.
"Can you at least do something else other than babysitting me? like I'm not 4 years old to you (Y/N)" Lloyd questioned me but at the same time he is annoyed.
"I will always look after you even on the last days of your life or when you are old" I bluntly stated before I summon my staff to my hand.
"Wait...Are you serious?"He is not expecting that one when I said that to him because back then I didn't tell him about the duration of my duties.
"I am dead serious Lloyd and besides I like to take care of you since you were a 5-year-old boy back then. I didn't even know how clingy were you toward me while you were sleeping at night" I teased him before I could see embarrassment written all over Lloyd's face while he is blushing pink.
"Ugh (Y/N) stopped it!" He stomped away from me before I let out a giggle at Lloyd before I heard the Hynobrai giggle as well in our conversation.
I shall cherish those moments with Lloyd and I will make his life more fun as long as I'm with him.
