After my conversation with Steven, my mood was immediately killed. I couldn't tell if he was genuine or not. I decided to ditch the party and head to a bar just down the road. I let Harry know, he nodded gave me a kiss on the cheek and turned his attention back to the women he was with.I slung my jacket over my shoulder and gave the bouncers a smile. Luckily for me and my drunk self the bar was not far at all.
I reached my destination, placing one foot over the other, the security gave me a nod as I walked in.
I sat down at the bar and ordered myself a drink. "On the house sister" the gorgeous bartender slid me my drink.
It was one drink after another, chatting with the bartender and she realised she was familiar with our band saying when she was in LA she checked out some of our shows and got some of our records. It felt amazing too be recognised.
"So I own this place right, give us a little performance, rest of the night drinks are free" She offered, i smiled and thought on it for a minute. It sounded fun, plus free drinks, who can turn that down?
"You got it boss" i shook her hand and we laughed.
"Evening everyone" the women who i learned to be named Cassie hoped on their small stage. "We have a rockstar in the venue tonight!" She chuckled as all of the people cheered, there wasn't a lot of people but still a decent amount.
"Everyone, Victoria Miller from The Absolute, herself and her band are the opening act for the Path of Destruction" she explained, the crowd got quite excited, it was thrilling feeling. She pointed me over, I raised my hands in defeat and walked over, earning claps and some cat calling. I talked to the small band and we agreed on "You're so Vain" by Carly Simon.
I nodded to the band and they started the song with the perfect rhythm. I pulled the wooden stool underneath me and sat on it. I grabbed the mic smiling to the small crowd as they waved.
You walked into the party like you were walking onto a yacht
Your hat strategically dipped below one eye
Your scarf it was apricot
You had one eye in the mirror, as you watched yourself gavotte
And all the girls dreamed that they'd be your partner
They'd be your partner andYou're so vain
You probably think this song is about you
You're so vain (you're so vain)
I bet you think this song is about you
Don't you don't you?You had me several years ago when I was still quite naive
Well you said that we made such a pretty pair and that you would never leave
But you gave away the things you loved
And one of them was me
I had some dreams they were clouds in my coffee clouds in my coffee andYou're so vain
You probably think this song is about you
You're so vain (you're so vain)I bet you think this song is about you
Don't you don't you don't you?I had some dreams they were clouds in my coffee clouds in my coffee and
You're so vain
You probably think this song is about you
You're so vain (you're so vain)
I bet you think this song is about you
Don't you don't you?Well I hear you went up to Saratoga
And your horse naturally won
Then you flew your lear jet up to Nova Scotia
To see the total eclipse of the sun
Well you're where you should be all the time
And when you're not, you're with some underworld spy
Or the wife of a close friend wife of a close friend and
You're so vain
You probably think this song is about you
You're so vain (so vain)
I bet you think this song is about you
Don't you don't you don't you?
