Evan Morrow was skating next to me, hitting his hockey stick to mine every now and then.
"Evan!" I laughed. "Stop!"
"Yeah, Evan." Peter said, shoving by him, knocking him over. "Stop."
"Peter." I snapped, glaring at him. "There's no need to be such a jerk."
He said nothing, and skated after Jesse. I helped Evan up, and he ended up losing his balance again, and fell on top of me this time. I smiled widely up at him, and he smiled back.
"Hey."
"Hey."
"Hey." Logan said, sliding by us.
I looked over, and laughed. I moved out from under Evan, helped him up, and then skated to Logan, and helped him up.
"Are you okay?" I asked, still smiling.
Logan nodded, holding onto my arms. "I'll be okay if I just stand right here."
I laughed again, and slowly started skating backwards, and felt Logan grab onto my arms tighter.
As we skated away, I missed the look of jealousy that Evan gave us.

Evan Morrow was being extra clingy.
All of us kids were hanging out at the park, and Evan was sitting very close to me. I didn't mind too much, mostly because Peter's face was hilarious as he shifted around, trying not to yell at Evan.
"Did you here that their doing a mom's skill thing for hockey?" Maya asked us.
"Yeah. My mom's going to be awesome." Lauren said.
"Is your mom going to be there?" Nick asked Peter and I.
Peter and I shared a look, knowing that everyone was excited to see Allison Germaine, or better known as Allison Moreau, back out on the ice.
"Yeah." Peter said. "She'll be there."
Nick smiled widely. He turned to face Jesse and Logan, who had started to walk away.
"Where are you guys going?" He asked.
The two stopped, and Jesse said, "Uh, we're heading home. Let us know how the mom thing goes."
I shared a look with Sam, and we all realized that Logan and Jesse had lost their moms, each in different ways.
"Don't worry about it." Nick said, instantly. "I have one you can borrow."
