Evan Morrow and Lily Germaine were a repeat of history. As amazing as it was for people to watch the greatest love story ever play out once again, for Evan Morrow, it was infuriating. Why couldn't Lily just see that he liked her, and had liked her s...

Evan Morrow's plan failed.
He fired his mom, and nothing good came from it. We needed up getting her back, but in the whole processes of this, my wrist ended up getting hurt.
How? During one of our games, someone hit it with their stick.
So I was currently at home, trying to wrap it again without being caught. It was going good, too, until Peter burst into my room.
"Guess what? I just asked Sofi out, and you know what she said? Yes!"
I looked up at her, having thrown my jacket back on to hide it. "What? Oh, good for you."
Peter smiled at me, but his eyes scanned me. "Are you okay? You're acting weird."
I nodded. "Yeah, I'm perfectly fine. Just tired."
Peter slowly nodded. "Okay. Something's up with Sofi, too. She's been limping, and I..."
Peter stood there for a minute, before he took off to who knows where. As long as he was off my case, I didn't care what he did. I took the role of wrap, and shoved it in my desk drawer, before walking out of my room myself.

Evan Morrow was acting weird.
He had been super nice to me, and would smile every time he saw me.
I was talking to Sam about this, but he just chuckled.
"What?"
"Lily, you're my best friend, you know that. But, man, sometimes you are not the smartest."
My mouth dropped open, and I stared at him offended. "What?"
"I mean, come on." He said, slapping my head lightly. "He likes you."
My face turned red, and I turned away. "No, he doesn't."
Sam scoffed. "Yes, he does. Have you seen the way he looks at you? Or the way he smiles at you? Or the way he talks to you? Or the way he talks about you? Or the way—"
"Okay!" I said, cutting Sam off. "I get it. But that doesn't mean that he likes me."
Sam stared at me for a minute, and he looked completely done. "You know what? Someone else can come in here and talk to you, I'm done. Why are you so stubborn?"
"Wha-Sam!"
"No! I'm getting Maya."
I shook my head. "Don't get Maya."
"I'm getting Maya."
I sighed, and waited for Maya to show up. When she did, she didn't even sit down before she started talking.
"So, what is this about you being oblivious and not thinking Evan likes you?"
I laughed a bit, covering my face. "Maya, it's—"
"I'm telling you right now, but he loves you. He's so in love with you, it hurts to watch. It's really painful, actual. It's almost as painful to see you so in love with him."
"Hold on, a minute!" I exclaimed, looking up at her. "Who said that?"
"Your face did." She told me. "And your actions."
I shook my head. "Maya, I'm not-I mean, I don't-Why would I—"
"It's okay, Lily." She said. "To feel this way. You don't have to be embarrassed."
"I'm...I'm not, I just..." I sighed. "I don't know."
"What?" Maya pushed. "What is it?"
"I...I don't understand why I feel this way? About Evan, nonetheless. He's my best friend."
Maya nodded. "I can't tell you, because I've never fallen in love with my best friend—"
"We have not fallen in love—"
"But I can tell you, that he loves you back. Despite what you think, of what your mind tells you, Evan Morrow loves you back."
I closed my mouth, and watched silently as Maya walked away. I thought over what she told me, but the whole time, I was trying to convince myself none of what Maya said, was real.

Evan Morrow was starting to concern me.
Normally, he's hanging around with Nick, or even Koob, so I was a bit weirded out when I saw him hanging out with Jesse.
I stayed back, just watching, but Jesse looked up, and saw me.
"Lily!"
Evan's head jerked up, and he smiled widely at me. I waved shyly back, and shuffled closer to them.
"Hey. Since when did you guys hang out?" I asked, looking between the two of them in confusion.
Evan shrugged. "I get bad for basically ignoring him, since he was nice enough to join the team right away."
"Mostly because Lily forced me too." He said.
I smiled a bit, thinking back on how I had just dragged Jesse and Peter with me to Evan's table the day he was making his hockey team.
"Yeah, I remember that." Evan smiled. "That was kind of funny."
We all smiled a bit at the memory. Everything was going good, until Jesse asked, "What's up with your wrist?"
I tended up a bit, but kept my face neutral. "What?"
"Your wrist." He said again. "I can see it wrapped up. Did something happen at one of our game?"
I shook my head quickly, but Evan stood up, and grabbed my arm.
"Ow!" I exclaimed, yanking my arm away.
He grabbed my hand again, and pulled my sleeve up, showing off my wrist.
"What...Lily, why would you hide this?" He asked.
"It's nothing." I said, trying to pull my hand away.
Evan stared at me, before bringing his other hand up.
"What are you-Ow! Evan, stop! That hurts!"
I struggled to pull my hand away as Evan lightly pressed on it. "Yeah, that really looks like nothing."
I pulled my hand away, and snapped, "It doesn't matter okay? I'll get it checked after we play against the Ducks."
Jesse stood up, as well. "I think you should get it checked now, Lily. Evan was barely touching it, and you were in pain. I mean, how were you even playing hockey?"
I shrugged, and looked away. "It doesn't matter, okay? I'm fine. I'll be perfectly fine."
"Yeah, until your wrist get's broken, or you're permanently injured."
I shook my head. "That won't happen. Neither of you can say anything. You promise."
Both boys shared a look, and like an idiot, I believed them when they said, "Promise."
