Lily Germaine was skating with Logan.
My jaw was clenched tight, and so was my stick. I nearly skated into a wall, since I wasn't paying attention, when I heard someone yell my name.
"EVAN MORROW!"
I looked over, and stopped really quick.
"Dad!" I exclaimed, skating over to him. "What are you doing here?"
I felt my heart soar in excitement as I listened to Dad talk. It had been a while since I had seen him, and he was here know, watching me play hockey.
"So, what's knew with you?" He asked, before looking behind me. "Is that Lily?"
I looked behind me quickly, and saw Lily staring at us.
"Uh, yeah." I said. "Lily! Come here!"
Lily skated over, and took her helmet off, smiling at my dad.
"Hey, Rob." She smiled.
"Hey, Lily." He greeted. "How've you been? You still doing good? How's Peter?"
"Peter's good. So am I." She said. "Sorry, I know you just got here, but I need Evan's help. Do you mind if I—"
"No, no, go ahead." He said, giving me a wink.
I skated after Lily, turning my head to Mom and Dad.
"Hey blue." Dad called to mom.
"Hey." She responded.
I turned to Lily, helping her with what she claimed she needed help with, but when I looked towards my parents again, mom and Dad were arguing.
"Hold on, I'll be right back." I said, handing Lily my stick, wanting to go help my Dad out:

Lily Germaine was in the middle of Lauren in Maya's fight.
We were at lunch, and one of Maya's tiktok's came up in Nick's feed, and Lauren, who was walking up, and peeked over his shoulder.
"Is that the one with me?" She asked.
"No, not with you." Nick answered.
"Where's mine?" Lauren asked, sitting down next to Lily.
"Its not there." Jesse said, looking over Nicks shoulder.
"Guess it didn't make her feed." Nick told her.
"Why wouldn't she post our tiktok?"
"I think I know why, but I'm scared to say for I am small and you have nun-chucks." Peter said.
Lauren looked over at Maya, and I saw her hands twitch, and stormed over to her. I watched as the two argued, and then Maya turned towards our table.
"Lily!" Maya called, after a minute. "Tell her she's being over dramatic!"
"Over dramatic?" Lauren repeated. "Lily, tell her she's not a good friend."
"What?" Maya asked, her voice dropping. "Lily—"
Lily sighed, and walked over to them, trying to break it up.
"Poor Lily." Jesse said, all of us watching as she failed to make peace. "I would not want to be in the middle of a girl fight."
The others nodded, but I couldn't help stare at her. Man, she really was beautiful.
"Evan, stop staring at my sister!" Peter snapped, shoving my shoulder.
"Sorry." I said, shifting my eyes, but they traveled back to her.
Peter pushed me out of my chair, making me grunt. "Thanks, Pete."
"Don't call me that." He said. "You're such a creep."
I rolled my eyes, but turned my eyes down to look at the table. Trying to avoid looking at Lily again. Or, at least, until Peter left the table.

Lily Germaine was trying to help me feel better.
I looked around the arena, but Dad wasn't there.
"Are you okay?" She asked, finishing looking around the stands too.
"Yeah." I said, my voice tight. "Yeah, he does this all the time. I...I should be used to it. He...I forgot my stick in the locker room."
I walked in there, with Lily behind me. I chucked my helmet off, and kicked the bench.
"Evan..." she called.
"What?" I snapped, turning to glare at her.
"It's okay." She told me.
I could feel tears pushing. "What's okay?"
"You can be upset." Lily said. "I know how hard it is for you. I know how much your dad means to you."
I dropped my head, as Lily wrapped her arms around me. "Why...why couldn't he just stick around? Why can't he just be there for me for once?"
"Evan, I...he's coming." She promised.
"He is?" I asked, lifting my head.
Lily nodded, but I could see a small hint of nervousness in her eyes. Almost as if she was unsure with herself.
"Y-Yeah." She said.
I gave her a smile, and after another moment, we headed out back to the ice.
I headed out for face off, but I couldn't stop myself from looking around the stands, hoping to catch my Dad walking in.
"Hey."
The Hawk player smacked my leg, and I, still upset about my Dad, turned back around pushed him. The red pulled me back, and Lily ended up taking the face off. She took the puck, but got pushed over. Even though I tried to save it, they scored.
Things weren't going well, I was still distracted, and I didn't have any more excuses, but I was losing hope, and then, I heard someone yell, "EVAN!"
I looked over, and my eyes lit up when I saw Bombay and Dad in the stands.
I smiled, and knowing my Dad was there, I begun to play harder. I scored, and cheered. Lily got the puck next, and ended up scoring again.
We skated to the box, and I explained the new play to everyone, but Maya, and Lauren refused.
I barely listened as Nick gave them a pep talk. I was bouncing with excitement after seeing my Dad sitting in the stands.
The game continued, as we pulled the new play, and scored. We all cheered, and I threw my arms around Lily, who smiled widely at me.
"You did it!" She cheered, shaking my shoulders. "You were amazing."
"Thank you!" I said, but my eyes traveled to my Dad who was clapping excitedly.
"Go see him." She said. "Go celebrate with him."
I gave her a smile, and skated over to my Dad.
