Chapter 7
Deal with it"The fuck..?"
The 7 day notice for Y/n's eviction was up, the small apartment was now void of any personal belonging. It wasn't hard for Y/n to pack, she didn't have much clothes and had no problem letting go of things she wouldn't have room for.
Laila on the other hand, complete different story.
If it weren't for her being so young Y/n would not have put up with her constant crying and told her to suck it up. But seeing the five year old cry over having to give away some of her toys she tried not to be too hard on her.
Even though it took promising all the ice cream in the world, a pinky promise that will definitely put a dent in her wallet, she just wanted Laila to stop crying.
But now as she stood in Armin's house with garbage bags full of their belongings, a place she could've sworn he lived in alone, she realized how pointless her promise was.
Laila was running circles around Eren, all giddy like she wasn't just bawling her eyes out 30 minutes ago in the car.
Speaking of Eren, the man was shirtless wearing nothing but pokemon pyjama pants while eating cereal at the kitchen island--despite it literally being 3pm. His messy bed head giving away the fact he just rolled out of bed.
Y/n opened her mouth to scold him for cursing in front of her impressionable little sister but no words came out.
"Oh? Eren I thought you worked on Saturdays?" Armin casually walked past Y/n carefully putting down the two garbage bags against the wall. He groaned, closing his eyes as he stretched his upper body after putting his muscles under so much stress.
"Took the day off have to go to my dads." Was all he said, averting his eyes from Y/n to look at Laila climbing the stool next to him to sit down.
"Shit!" Armin slapped his forehead looking back and forth between Eren and Y/n, "I completely forgot to tell you Y/n would be staying here for a while."
"Yeah and you forgot to tell me you live with Eren." Y/n muttered under her breath, her words not reaching neither Armin's or said brunettes ears.
"I don't care, long as it's just for a while like you said." He spoke nonchalantly, eating his cereal while playing on his psp. Not even giving Laila a slither of attention who was just spinning around in the stool.
"I hope you don't mind him," Armin redirected his full attention onto Y/n who shrugged her shoulders, forcing up a smile.
"I'm in no position to complain, I'm just grateful for a place to stay for now." But as her eyes flickered to the figure sitting in the kitchen, she wondered if Armin making this important information known to her would've made her reconsider. Maybe he didn't tell her on purpose.
After all, when he first proposed her staying with him until she can get back onto her feet she was very adamant. Turning his offer down numerous times, it took a lot of convincing and the only reason why he was able to was because of her little sister.
Before taking up his offer though, she visited Nile's house and was surprised to see a sold sign on his lawn with no signs of the man. His car was gone, all the lights in his house were off, he just vanished.
Her stomach churned whenever she thought about her uncle, because now when she did all she could think about was that phone call with Hange and what happened to Moblit.
It was only a matter of time before Laila asked about her uncle, what was she supposed to tell her?
"Do you mind if I--?" Armin trailed off in his sentence, a small smile on his face as he approached Y/n extending his arm out. Y/n looked down to see the urn she was holding tightly to her chest. Nodding her head absentmindedly, she handed it to Armin trusting he would set it down somewhere safe.
