Katherine's POV
"Sup lil professor bro?" I said walking up to Levi. I blew a strand of red hair out of my face and pushed up my sunglasses.
"Oh. Katherine. Should've known it was you. You're more annoying than Titan shit. We need you at the cafe," He said in his monotone voice looking up from the floor he was scrubbing.
'Well, I do need some coffee.'I thought.
"Kay! Love ya bro!" I said kissing him on the cheek. I pulled on my satchel and ran out the door of my dorm room.
"Ugh. Brat germs."

"I'll have a Carmel Macchiato. Extra foam." I said at the counter. Once I got my coffee, I saw two girls that seemed recognizable. One with raven hair and glasses, the other with dirty blonde hair in a braid. I walked out of the shop and walked past Kazuto Kirigaya.
"Hey! Are you Katherine?" He said.
"Yes. Why?" I said trying to stay cool.
"I'm Kirito. We need you over in the lot." He said. I was confused.
"The hell is 'the lot'?" I said while he dragged me towards the lot.
"Quinn Scarlet, Chrysalis Starr, Katherine Mikals, and Meilin Genevieve. You four have been chosen as anime gate sentinels. Quinn, sentinel of the Pokémon barrier. Chrysalis, sentinel of the Ace Attorney Barrier. Katherine, sentinel of the Sword Art Online barrier. And Meilin, sentinel of the Shingeki yes Kyojin barrier." Levi said.
'Thanks for saying hi bro...' I thought.
"If we're sentinels, then do we get cool outfits and stuff?" I asked.
"Yes, Katherine, you four get whatever object or creature from your assigned anime. For instance, Quinn has two Pokémon, and you get this sword," Kirito handed me a red and black sword which looked totally badass.
"And for Meilin, you get 3d-maneuver gear," Levi handed Meilin the gear
"Chrysalis will get a magatama," Phoenix handed her something teal that looked like half of yin and yang.
"Now, here are your clothes to change into when needed as sentinels," Professor Oak gave us some folded clothes. He then gave us the school uniforms.
"So are these like superhero costumes?" I thought out loud. Everyone stared at me like I was an idiot. Which I am. Except my brother. He did that too. And he groaned.
"Excuse her immaturity. Yes Katie, these are superhero costumes." he said glaring at me.
"Yesss!!!!" I quietly cheered. I then ran up to a tree. I jumped to the nearest branch and crawled to the top to take a nap.
