Hey guys! This is Digital! If you've seen one of the more recent updates, you'll know that Admin Potato is taking a break from writing this story, so I'm picking it up until she comes back from her hiatus. So if the writing style is a little different the next few chapters, it's beCruz I'm writing it.

(Meilin's POV)

I laid down on my bed and closed my eyes. I had stayed out late last night with the girls and now it was one AM. I should probably catch a few hours of sleep before I get dragged out to do whatever it is I'll be forced into doing tomorrow...

-----

I woke up and groaned. Stupid alarm. I slammed my hand down on the device, shutting it up. I realized that it was August first and that the Digimon party was today. I shot up out of my bed and threw on a t-shirt and jeans before dashing out to the main area of the school.

Everybody was crowded around one another, talking among themselves mindlessly. I glanced around. I had organized this bash, and I noticed that somebody was missing...

"Where's Chrysalis?" I asked, tapping Sora (Takenouchi, not character to be introduced alter) on the shoulder.

"She had to go. She changed languages on us when we asked for an explanation," Sora replied with a frown. I shook my head. Typical Chrysalis.

Baka.

-----

I was so insanely happy the day of the party that every second of it just kind of blurred into some chaotic being. I could barely distinguish what happened at 3 from what happened at 8. I guess that comes with going a little bit crazy on the Pixi Stix...

I finally was read to go walk at a snail's pace back to my dorm, but the commons was covered with an uneasy silence. I tensed up. The silence wasn't something I was particularly fond of, let me tell you.

I could hear panicked shouts of, "What happened?!", "I don't know!", and "We need help already!" reached my ears. A million other things were being screamed, but the words ran together, as my sugar high was as high as ever.

I soon realized exactly why all of this was happening. All it took was a glance at the ground a few feet away from where I stood:

There was a red liquid that was staining the ground in a pathway that led to a rainbow haired woman.

Said liquid had a sour smell that I knew all too well.

Blood.

-------------------------------------

I had to make it a little shorter than hoped only because I don't want to spoil what happens in the next few chapters because we have references and sad people and sibling love and ships.

Among many other things-
