I just stood there staring at Victor. I was lost looking at his green eyes. It was almost mesmerizing. Then I felt Lacy's hand pulling on my wrist and I was torn away. Shaking my head to clear it I realize that I was in a trance when I looked at him.

"Duck!" Lacy screamed. I ducked down just in time as a bright ball of yellow green whized over my head. Barely missing me, it may have even singed a few hairs. In shock I just stayed kneeling in place. Lacy grabbed me by the arm again and I was forced to move as another ball of magic came hurtling at me. It missed and hit the wall to my left, leaving a huge scorch mark. I had no clue where Lacy was taking me, when I realized that I knew exactly where we were going. We were going through the window!

"What are you doing?" I asked in a panic.

"We are going through the window." She said as if it were something that she did everyday.

"No, we can't do that. We are at least seven stories up!" I yelled.

"Well then, it's about time I teach you how to fly." My mouth fell open but I had no time to say anything as another ball of magic nearly hit me. "Jump!" Lacy yelled. I didn't have any time to think. Only time to jump. In no time I was hurtling towards the ground at amazing speeds. I passed the sixth story. Then the fifth story. I start to panic. I don't see Lacy. Then I remember her words. focus your energy and channel it into your sparks. Then focus on an object that you want to do something. I focused my energy and channeled it into my sparks. But what object to focus on? Then it hit me. Focus on myself. By this time I was at the third story. I demanded myself to fly. I willed myself to fly. It wasn't working. I was closer to the ground. I was passing the second story, I was running out of time and air. This may be the end. I tried one more time. I closed my eyes and I imagined myself flying. I believed that I could fly. Yet I still braced myself for the impact. I open my eyes the tiniest bit and I am flying back up the side of the apartment building. I fly higher and higher. Then Lacy is by my side.

"I guess I didn't need to teach you how. You figured it out on your own." I just nod being that I am so tired to even speak.

"Where are we flying to?" I manage to squeak out.

"Any where but here." She responded. I gave a slight nod and looked down. I was higher than all the buildings. I was higher than the clocktower. I was higher than any skyscraper in the world! All the people below me were the size of specks. Am I really flying? I asked myself. But the answer was quite clear. Of course I was really flying. How else was I supposed to explain me soaring thousands of feet in the air. Or maybe I was dreaming? I was lost in my thoughts. It took a while before I realized that Lacy was screaming my name. "LILY!" Over and over she screamed my name until I finally snapped out of it. That's when I noticed that the ground was getting closer and closer. I screamed. Focus! Focus! Focus! I told myself over and over again. It wasn't working. I tried as hard as I could to focus. Blue sparks were flying everywhere. I couldn't focus. I was really starting to panic. Then out of nowhere someone grabbed me by the collar of my shirt. I was relieved. I look up to thank Lacy only to find myself looking into the green eyes of victor. He had an evil smirk on his face. I screamed. I thrashed around. But there was nobody there to save me. Lacy was nowhere to be seen. I was on my own.
