Harry waited anxiously all day for Louis to call him saying he had landed safe and sound in New York, and that phone call finally came when it was 8:30 PM, London time.
"Hi, baby" Harry said when he picked up.
"Hey" Louis replied, he sounded tired "I just landed, and went through immigration, and now I'm waiting for my suitcases".
"How was the flight?" Harry asked.
"Not great" Louis replied "I was really nauseous the whole flight, I don't even remember the amount of times I got up to throw up".
"Oh, baby" Harry said feeling sorry "I wish I had been there with you".
"Me too" Louis sighed "How's Elena?".
"She's great, she went to sleep half an hour ago" Harry explained.
"That's good" Louis accepted "Babe, I have to go the suitcases just started to come through the belt".
"Okay, but call me when you get home, yeah? So I know you made it safely" Harry asked.
"I will, I love you" Louis replied.
"I love you and the baby" Harry said back "Bye".
Louis said bye, and ended the call, and Harry went downstairs where Louis' parents were and told them Louis had landed safely in New York, and they thanked him for telling them. In the past year, Harry had come to love Louis' family, but it still felt a little strange living in this house without Louis, although Jay and Mark made him feel welcome.
It was almost 11 PM when Louis finally called again, and this time he FaceTimed, which made Harry smile.
"Did I wake you?" Louis wondered.
"No, I was waiting for you to call" Harry whispered, because Elena was sleeping next to him, that's why he had put headphones on "Are you home?".
"Yeah, I'm here, there was a driver waiting for me at the airport and they brought me straight to the flat and helped me bring everything up" Louis confirmed "It's a nice a place, there's a room for us, and another room for Elena, it even has a crib in it, and they left food and another things in the kitchen, so I'm all stocked up".
"That's great, babe" Harry smiled.
"I miss you and Elena so much already" Louis sighed.
"We miss you too" Harry said back "What time is it there? It looks still light outside".
"It's almost 6 PM" Louis replied, and yawned "But I'm exhausted, I want to take a shower and sleep an entire day".
"You should do that" Harry told him "Call me when you wake up, yeah?".
Louis agreed, and after saying I love you to each other, they said goodbye, and knowing Louis was okay, let Harry fall asleep feeling less worried about him.
During Saturday and Sunday, Louis called twice a day, just to talk and to see Elena, who was missing her mum like crazy, and kept asking for him over and over.
When Monday came, though, Louis texted in the morning, and then only called at night saying he had been at the office all day, getting to know everyone at the office, and preparing for the meeting he had the following day. But he still talked on the phone with Harry and Elena for over an hour.
"I got an update about your visas today" Louis said to Harry on Wednesday night (although it was early evening for Louis) "They said you should get them sometime next week".
"That's great, love" Harry smiled.
"Yeah" Louis smiled "If you get them next week, you could fly on the weekend".
