The morning after Harry agreed to go to New York, Louis went into the office and accepted the job offer, which was what sealed it: they were moving to America.
And him accepting the offer got the wheels turning at high speed, and on the same day the company got both of them, and Elena, appointments later that same week at the American Embassy in order for Louis to get his work visa, and Harry and Elena to get their accompanying family visas.
And it was all so fast, that that same evening, Louis went to tell the news to his family, while Harry went over to his parents house to explain what had happened, about being let go of his job, Louis getting a job offer in America, and them deciding to move there.
"We're only going for 3 years" Harry explained "The company thinks that in that time they'll be able to grow here again, and they'll want Louis back in London".
"What about you?" Anne asked.
"Mum, I told you I was fired, I don't play into this equation with the Company" Harry explained "But I might be able to get a job in New York while we're there".
Anne looked at her husband, who was holding Elena, as Harry had brought her along.
"If you and Louis are sure about this decision, there's nothing we can say other than we'll miss you, and this little one" Desmond told him.
"We'll miss you too, and we agreed to come back once a year to visit, and we'll get you tickets so you can visit us while we're there" Harry explained.
"That would be lovely, sweetheart" Anne smiled, but it was a sad smile "When are you leaving?".
"As soon as we get our visas" Harry answered.
"How soon can that be?".
"Apparently it can take a while, but Louis was told that the company has a few contacts that could help speed things a long... so it could be a month" Harry explained what Louis had told him that morning.
"That's fast" Anne commented.
"Yes, but apparently they want Louis there as soon as possible, they're starting a new project and he's supposed to lead it" Harry told his parents.
"Will you find a place to live so fast?" Des wondered.
"The company is giving us a place to live for 2 months until we find our own place" Harry explained, and decided he needed to tell his parents his other news right away "There's something else you should know".
"What else could there be?" asked Anne.
"We're having another baby, Louis' pregnant" Harry told them.
"What?" both Anne and Des said wide eyed.
"We obviously had no idea all of this would happen when we decided to try for another baby, but yeah..." Harry confirmed.
"How far along is he?" asked Anne.
"We don't know yet, but it's very early, we only found out on Saturday, so we haven't even seen the doctor, if the circumstances were different I wouldn't be telling you about it yet, but considering everything..." Harry explained "We're happy about it, though, we wanted this".
"Congratulations sweetheart" Anne said and stood up to give him a hug "You're a great dad to Leni, and I know you'll be the same for your new baby".
"Thanks, mum" Harry smiled and hugged her and then his dad, who also got up to congratulate him.
"Have you told your sister about all of this?" Anne asked as Harry took Elena from his dad, as she raised her arms at him.
"Yeah, I talked to her yesterday, she knows about New York and the baby, but I asked her not to tell the kids yet, I want to be the one who tells them" Harry said.
