Beep, beep, beep.
3th persons pov:
The girl's alarm clock blared for the third time that hour, but she didn't seem to mind. She had purposely set it late, wanting to avoid the school sports games that day. She smiled to herself, feeling clever, as she got out of bed and went through her morning routine.
After getting ready, the girl headed downstairs to grab her things for the day. As she entered the living room, she saw her mother sitting on the couch, her eyes fixed on her.
The girl tried to act nonchalant, but she couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. She remembered the strange event with the maid from the day before, and her unease only grew.
Quickly grabbing her backpack, water bottle, and bento that her maid had prepared, the girl felt her mother's burning gaze on her back. She couldn't help but ask what was wrong.
y/n's pov:
I stared at my mother, her eyes boring into me with an intensity that sent shivers down my spine. "Mom, why are you looking at me like that? It's kind of creepy, you know," I said, my voice shaky.
She didn't respond, but instead, she looked me up and down before saying, "Your leg seems to have healed well, why don't you try to play anymore?" Her tone was unpleasant, and I couldn't help but feel hurt.
Did she really want me to play again? Was she disappointed in me? A million thoughts raced through my mind as I tried to find the right words to say.
Finally, I gathered the courage to ask, "Mother, are you saying you want me to play football again?"
She giggled, and I couldn't help but wonder what was so funny. Then she spoke, crushing my spirit in an instant. "Even if I wanted you to play again, I wouldn't get my hopes up. You don't practice anymore, and you've probably lost your good conditioning and all. So I don't expect much."
I felt tears prick my eyes as I hurried out of the living room, slipping on my shoes and running out of the house. As I walked towards school, I seethed with anger. I wasn't sad or hurt anymore, I was angry. I'll show them, I'll show
them all that I'm the best of them. I'll be considered the best, and they'll just be stepping stones for me from now on.
I couldn't help but smile to myself as I imagined the sparks and glitter floating around me. I was so caught up in my own thoughts that I didn't even realize I was already late for school.
"OMG SHIT, I FUCKING FORGOT I WAS ALREADY LATE TO SCHOOL!" I exclaimed, sprinting like a madwoman past the people around me. To my surprise, my leg held up, and I ran faster than I had ever run before.
As I reached the school gates, I saw that the other schools hadn't arrived yet. "What a lucky girl I am," I said to myself, basking in my little moment of happiness.
But my joy was short-lived as the buses pulled into the school parking lot, and
I realized I still had a lot to prove.
I watched as the buses pulled into the school, each one carrying a different team from a different school. Aomori High School, Karasuno High School, and... Mizo Middle School? I couldn't help but laugh at the sight of the third bus. What were they even doing here? They weren't known for anything.
I shook my head and sighed. I had other things to worry about. I needed to
leave and do the greeting for these schools, accompanied by my two sisters. It was our duty as the representatives of our school.
I quickly made my way towards the school entrance, trying to avoid the crowds of students who were gathered around the buses. I didn't want to get caught up in the chaos.
As I approached the entrance, I saw my sisters waiting for me. They were both dressed in our school's uniform, looking neat and presentable. I couldn't help but feel a little envious of their natural beauty. I, on the other hand, had to put in a lot of effort to look half as good as them.
Bachira's POV:
As I sat next to Isagi on the bus, with Chigiri and Kunigami in front of us and Rin behind, we were all excited about playing against the three schools. I told Isagi that with my monster by my side, we were sure to win. But then, I thought I saw someone out of the corner of my eye. I mentioned it to Isagi, but before I could get a better look, I bumped my head on the seat in front of me. Kunigami asked if I was okay, and Chigiri gave me a strange look.I knew Rin was the only one behind us, so I turned around to ask him about it.
He replied
with a snarky comment, saying that I probably just saw my "half-baked monsters" like I always did. I didn't want to start anything, so I just turned back around and ignored him.
As we pulled into the parking lot of Hyakkaou Private Academy, I couldn't wait to get some fresh air. I reached into my backpack and found some old, sticky, melted candy. After debating whether to eat it or not, I ended up throwing it at Raichi's head. He started yelling at us and throwing around some choice words, but luckily Shidou didn't hear him as he was too busy watching the "Itoshi Sae Video Compilations."
While we waited, minding our own business, three girls approached us. One of them wore a mask, while the other two looked very similar. The smaller one had slightly chubbier cheeks, and I immediately recognized her as the girl from the café. I didn't say anything, but I did impulsively blurt out, "are they clones or something?" because the three of them looked more alike than the Wanima brothers.
Isagi's pov:
I couldn't help but roll my eyes at his ridiculousness. "You know they're not clones, right?" I whispered to him, trying to suppress a laugh. He just gave me an unreadable expression before grinning and saying he was joking. I knew he probably believed it though, given his tendency to believe in the supernatural.
Before I could say anything else to Bachira, Shidou started yelling for some reason. I couldn't help but think how weird he was.
Shidou's pov:
I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw her standing right in front of me. It was y/n Momobami, the girl whose leg shattered mid-game. I couldn't help but scream out her name, drawing everyone's attention towards me. I saw the students from the other two schools giving me strange looks, probably wondering why I was making such a scene.
Rin, who was sitting behind us, gave me a sharp sideways glance. I knew he was probably annoyed with my outburst, but I couldn't help it. I was just surprised to see y/n here after what had happened to her. Without any hesitation, I blurted out, "Aren't you the girl from the café last Sunday?!"
Y/n looked at me with a small smile before nodding her head. "Yes, that's me," she replied softly. Her voice was so gentle and calming, it was hard not to feel at ease around her. I could see why Isagi and Bachira were so intrigued by her.
As we stood there in silence, I couldn't help but feel a sense of admiration towards y/n. Despite what had happened to her, she seemed so strong and resilient. I knew I had to get to know her better, and maybe even become friends with her. But for now, I just stood there, staring at her in awe.
3th person pov:
The atmosphere was thick with curiosity and suspicion as the students from the different high schools looked at each other with guarded expressions. Some were wondering why the Momobami sisters were here, while others were simply uninterested. Shidou's outburst had caused a momentary commotion, but it quickly died down.
