Y/n's pov:

I opened my mouth to scream for help, but before I could make a sound, I realized that it was Isagi, the same guy who had almost kissed me at the party last week. Despite my initial fear, I found myself drawn to him, unable to resist his magnetic pull. As he stood there, his eyes locked with mine, I couldn't help but feel a rush of excitement.

"Are you avoiding me because of what happened at the party?" he asked, his voice filled with dejection. I tried to respond, but his proximity made it hard for me to think straight. "No?" I managed to stutter out, the uncertainty in my voice betraying my true feelings.

Isagi continued to stare at me, his piercing gaze seeming to penetrate through me. I was still pressed against the wall, caught in his gaze, when the sound of the door opening jolted me back to reality. With a surge of panic, I pushed him away, not wanting to be seen in such a compromising position.

But even as I distanced myself from him, I knew deep down that I wanted to stay as close as possible.

That was the moment we both realized that this was the girls' locker room, and I quickly pushed Isagi into one of the restrooms. My heart was pounding in my chest as I hid Isagi in the restroom, trying to avoid any unwanted rumors that could possibly ruin my reputation. As we waited for the coast to clear, Isagi's whispers filled the air, his voice desperate and anxious. "Has she left yet?" "Can I go out?" I couldn't help but feel a rush of adrenaline as I listened to his voice, my own heart racing faster than ever before.

But I couldn't answer his questions, not when there was a chance someone could overhear us. So, we stayed quiet, waiting for the moment we could escape undetected. When the girl finally left, I breathed a sigh of relief and opened the restroom door to find Isagi waiting for me.

Without a word, I motioned for him to follow me, my heart pounding in my chest as we made our way out of the locker room. And as we stepped out, I pushed him away playfully, flicking his forehead and narrowed my eyes at him, a warning on the tip of my tongue. "Don't even think about pulling a stupid stunt like that again," I admonished him, my tone sharp. "Because next time, I won't cover for you." But he just smirked in response, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "I can't promise that," he teased before sauntering off to the boys' locker room. Little did we know, our every move was being recorded by an unknown perpetrator, and the girl who had walked in on us earlier was far from innocent.and laughing. Even though the situation was tense, I couldn't help but feel a strange connection to Isagi, and I knew deep down that this was only the beginning of a wild adventure.

After this rather messy encounter between me and Isagi was over,I walked towards the girls' dorms. My phone kept buzzing non-stop with notifications, messages, and calls. It was so overwhelming that I eventually decided to just turn off my phone and ignore them. However, little did I know that my friends Yumeko and Mary were eagerly waiting for me with some shocking news.

"Y/N, why didn't you tell us?" Mary shook my shoulders, and Yumeko nodded in agreement. "Yeah, is that why you're not on our team?"

I was completely clueless about what they were talking about, and it must have shown on my face because they both gave me a blank stare. "What are you guys talking about?" I asked, hoping for an explanation.

Mary looked sheepish as she said, "Ehh, I don't think she knows."

"Or maybe she just doesn't know the connection," Yumeko added. My nerves were starting to get the best of me, and I asked, "Can you tell me what this is all about? My phone won't stop buzzing."  I stood there, my body tensing and many thoughts racing through my head.

"Will this affect my status?" "How will mom react?" "What should I do?"

As I stood frozen in front of the picture, my eyes fell to the bottom of the phone where I read the caption of the post.

Caption: "Been away for a while but it seems like I found a new gossip source for the upcoming time🤭"

As I read this, all I could feel was anger rising inside me. So you're telling me that this person has been offline for almost half a year and has decided that I'm the new gossip source? I thought. Before I could think any further, I was snapped out of my thoughts.

"Hello Earth to Y/n," Mary said, waving her hand in front of me. "Are you alright?" Yumeko asked slowly, handing me back my phone."Yes, yes, I'm fine," I said, wanting to go to bed and forget about the whole day."Okay?" they both said in unison, not really believing my answer before heading to their beds.

As I laid in my bed, all I could think about was how unpleasant tomorrow was going to be. It wasn't just that I was going to be the new talk of the school, but also that I didn't know how to handle the situation.

Timeskip to the morning

As we walked towards the breakfast room, Mary and Yumeko were discussing team strategies, but my mind was preoccupied with yesterday's gossip. As we entered the room, I could feel the weight of everyone's stares on me. I just wanted to leave as soon as possible, but Yumeko placed a comforting hand on my shoulder. "Don't stress too much about it," she reassured me, and Mary agreed, having seen worse gossip before. "Yeah, and if that account wants to post about you, give them some even juicier things to work with," Itsuki chimed in as he joined our conversation. Their words did calm me down, but I still couldn't shake off the anxiety I felt. I was afraid of being recorded again, or worse, my mom finding out.

Just as we reached an empty table, my phone started ringing. I looked at the caller ID and saw that it was my mother. Not wanting to answer in public, I quickly excused myself and headed towards a more private spot.
