3rd persons pov :

The room became deafeningly silent as Isagi and Y/n's lips parted. They stayed frozen in place, not knowing what to do in this situation. Finally, Y/n was the one to break the silence by clearing her throat awkwardly. "Uhhh.... I.. have something for you!" she squeaked, reaching into her pocket. "What? What is it?" Isagi raised an eyebrow, completely caught off guard. Y/n blushed, and pulled a small folded note from her pocket. "I um... well..." she gulped. "I wanted to thank you for... you know..." Not saying it out loud in fear of someone overhearing.

Y/n held the note out for Isagi, who glanced at it curiously and then took it, unfolding it and reading its contents silently. Isagi's cheeks gradually darkened as he read, turning redder and redder as he realized what he had just done. The tension in the air was palpable as they stood in silence, both too embarrassed to break it. After what felt like an eternity, Isagi finally managed to find his voice, his lips quivering into an embarrassed smile. "You... you're welcome," he mumbled, not looking directly at Y/n.

Y/n felt herself growing red-faced, trying to hold back a smile as she stared at the floor. She could feel her heart fluttering, and for a moment she didn't know what to say. Then she blurted out, "So, are you... okay?" Isagi chuckled, a small blush still on his face. "Yeah, I'm alright" He said, still looking away. There was another tense silence as Isagi cleared his throat to gather his nerves, and began to speak in a quieter, more sincere voice. "I... "I enjoyed it..."

Right when Y/n wanted to respond.Their moment was interrupted by the presence of another student, who stood against a wall watching them from a distance, his face tight with fury. His fists were clenched, his eyes fixed on them with resentment. He walked towards them with intent, a glare on his face, and for a moment the air felt heavy with tension.

Y/n felt her heart skip a beat as the other student's voice broke into the silence. It was Isagi who noticed it first, and his gaze darted up to the other older student's face. The older boy held his eyes for a moment, a cocky look on his face as he seemed almost proud to have interrupted them. Then he turned around and strolled off, his footsteps growing louder as he walked away. The whole thing went by in the blink of an eye, and before Y/n or Isagi knew what happened, the moments had passed, and the student was gone.

Y/n's heart skipped a beat as she turned to look at the boys back, confusion written all over her face. What was he trying to accomplish just now? Why was he so angry? She couldn't make sense of it, and turned to look at Isagi for answers. But it seemed like he also was trying to figure it out.

Isagi's eyes were fixed on his rival, his mouth set into a stoic frown as he watched the exchange. The jealousy he saw on the older Itoshi's face filled Isagi with concern, but he remained outwardly calm. Why was he this jealous? Why did he care so much about his interactions with Y/n? Why did he seem to hate him so much? His mind ran through these questions as he stared down The older boy, trying to think of an explanation for his actions.

Before both of them could speak up. The loudspeakers announced dinner, making Y/n playfully shove Isagi away in response. "You go clean up first! I'll be right behind you!" She said, giving him a cheeky smile. Isagi laughed, and ran a hand through his hair in mock embarrassment. "Aright, alright" he said, "You're a little bossy you know that?" Y/n rolled her eyes with a laugh. "Of course I know that, now go clean up!" She said while smiling.

Isagi walked away from the encounter feeling invigorated, his blood pumping with adrenaline. He felt a surge of pride that he could make Y/n laugh like that. With every step he took, he felt himself growing more confident, and his smile grew brighter. By the time he reached his dorm room, he was humming happily to himself, and closed the door with a kick celebrating his small victory.

                         Time Skip to dinner hall

As Y/n entered the dinner hall, she was surprised to see the rest of the team sitting together at one of the bigger tables. Itsuki approached her from behind and grabbed her arm with some considerable force, yanking her over towards the team's table. Y/n felt herself blush as she greeted the rest of the team, her eyes lingering on Bachira a moment longer, and she couldn't help but wonder why. The warmth of Itsuki's grip still lingering on her arm. She quickly sobered as Rin met her gaze, his face remaining stoic and inscrutable. His silence made her feel nervous, and her nerves grew even more as he kept staring without a word.

As Y/n sat down Rin cleared his throat, and everyone at the table looked at him. "Alright, everyone. I have a plan we should try on Saturday." He said with a stern voice. He opened a paper, and held it up for everyone to see. It had a schematic of the track from the competition, and was covered in Rin's neat, precise writing. He had obviously put a lot of work into it, and it was clear that he wanted them to take it seriously.

After Rin explained his plan, he couldn't help but notice the glaring eyes of his older brother and teammate directed at him. The jealousy coming from his two rivals was palpable, even from across the table. Rin's lips twitched into a small smirk as he realized how much his plan was bothering the two, and he couldn't help but feel a little smug about the whole situation. With a non prominent grin, he turned back towards Y/n and the rest of the team, eager to finally finish their dinner. He had a good feeling about this plan, and he could tell his rivals would hate it.

Sae and Isagi shot Rin an accusing stare, their envy clear on their faces. Rin seemed well aware of their glares, and lightly smirked in response as he continued explaining his plan. It seemed like Rin was trying to make the two even more jealous on purpose, just to get a rise out of them. Whatever the reason, Rin's plan seemed to be working, as his older brother and Isagi both grew more irritated by the second.
