"Secrets of youth"THE KING HAD decided that Visenya was free to claim herself being a Targaryen, and kindly enough, having already consorted the Small Council, he had allowed her to use the title of Lady Visenya Targaryen. The deep lilac-colored eyes of the little girl sparkled once that decision was announced to her, finally establishing her a place in the royal yard.
She spent most of her time with the Valeryon boys. Being the same age as Prince Jacaerys allowed them to become inseparable instantly — partially, this was because the young Prince was smitten with the girl, even though he refused to admit it once his younger brother questioned him about it. Whenever the two didn't meet outside, they would spend their time in the library, going through old texts written in High Valyrian, and often the girl would help the young Prince learn the language, considering that her late mother had ensured she'd be fluent in it.
Visenya was partly grateful the Queen had not obeyed the advice of the King and, instead, paid minimal attention to her. Viserys had asked Alicent to make sure the girl got a warm welcome in the castle and take her under her wing until she felt at home, but she had no interest in doing so, leaving the girl to wander around the castle accompanied by Jacaerys, or his mother, Rhaenyra. The princess, on the contrary, was the one to help the girl around. For as long as the princes would be training outside, Rhaenyra would spend time with the girl, trying to get to know her better.
However, there were times Rhaenyra could not be with the girl either. Visenya, then, would get bored out of her mind, mainly because despite how much she loved reading books, she'd crave more exploring the castle, or mostly talking to someone else. Her attempts to speak to the Queen fell to the void quickly, for one more time, so the brunette had found herself seated on a staircase, her eyes lazily looking at King's Landing.
"You look pathetic walking around on your own," A voice said from behind her, quickly withdrawing her from her thoughts as she turned to look at its source. "I don't blame you, though. We all are a bit pathetic deep down, aren't we?"
"Prince Aegon," Her eyes followed the Prince as he sat beside her, rubbing his hands on his trousers, trying to get rid of the dirt on them.
"No need for formalities, Visenya," The blond boy rolled his eyes and the girl raised her brows. "You can call me Aegon."
"And the Queen won't come for my head?" She questioned arching a brow and he shrugged.
"Mother doesn't care," He replied as he let his back rest on the steps behind him. "But if it makes you feel better, I will defend you if she does come for your head as you say."
"Are you drunk, Aegon?" She asked again, this time earning a chuckle from the Prince that shook his head. "Then why do you speak to me? I'm here almost two weeks, and that is the first time you talk to me."
