"He can keep his tongue"THE DOORS TO the Throne room opened as her name was announced to the crowd gathered. Visenya did not expect to come across so many people when she got there, and she certainly did not expect so many people to glare at her as she walked down the hall, heading straight to Rhaenyra. The woman was standing with Daemon just right before the Iron Throne, both of them deep in conversation. As Visenya's footsteps neared, the two turned, and the brunette bowed her head, a strained smile on her lips as she joined the couple.
"Princess," Visenya greeted Rhaenyra, the woman hugging her from the side as she greeted her back. "Prince Daemon," She then acknowledged and Daemon nodded his head, a smile on his lips as he looked at the girl. Visenya turned her attention back to Rhaenyra, a hand already placed on the girl's cheek as the Heir to the Iron Throne caressed it and looked at her adoringly. "Do you reckon where Jace might be? I need to speak to him."
Rhaenyra shook her head, Visenya looking at Daemon then who also seemed to not know about the whereabouts of the Velaryon Prince. "My guess is he went off to fetch Luke and Rhaena. Probably, he'd gone to a looking for you too — he had been looking for you for a while last time I saw him," Rhaenyra informed the girl and she nodded her head. "I also asked for the maids to call you but they did not find you in your quarters earlier."
"I was in Princess Halaena's quarters. It's been a long time since we last talked so I spent some of my time with her," Visenya informed her. "Is there anything wrong, Princess?"
"It's not a matter of urgency, but we wish to talk to you later in the day," Rhaenyra announced and Visenya furrowed her brows slightly. Rhaenyra was smiling and Daemon held a faint smirk on his face so it only made Visenya curious what they had to tell her. Suddenly, the doors to the room opened again, and the three of them turned to look at Jace, Luke, and Rhaena. The three of them walked into the room smiling, talking with each other, and Rhaenyra patted Visenya's back. "Looks like he finally found you."
"Indeed," Visenya smiled and clasped her hands in her lap, her fingers nervously twirling the rings on her hands. With a bow of her head, she spoke once again before she started walking away. "If you'll excuse me."
The brunette slowly made her way to the group that slowly approached and she smiled once they noticed her presence. With a bright smile, Visenya embraced Rhaena, the two Targaryen girls acting as if they had not seen each other in ages, though it had only been some hours, and then, she bumped Luke's shoulder playfully. She wrapped an arm around his shoulder, attempting to soothe the young boy's nerves before she locked eyes with Jace.
"We've been looking for you," He said while the four walked to the side of the room.
"That I've heard," Visenya replied with a playful tone and Jace arched a brow. "I've been looking for you too. Mind if we talk for a minute?"
"No, not at all," The boy furrowed his brows and turned to his brother and cousin, Visenya already walking ahead, towards the side of the room, near the huge windows of the hall. "We'll be back shortly."
Visenya clasped her hands back to her lap, her knuckles turning white from the pressure, and she let her eyes fall to the details of the hall. They wandered to the big windows, the dark stone of the walls, the detailed carvings on the edges, and the dark ceilings — the Throne Room was really a very pretty room. She never had the chance to acknowledge the beauty of it — she had only been there once or twice, but she always looked in awe at the Throne in its center. A throne made of thousands of swords; all of them once belonging to Aegon the Dragon's enemies — enemies he had defeated to his way to glory, her mother's words echoed in her head each time she looked at that damned chair, which had only started to look less fascinating to her as time passed. There was nothing fascinating about it when Hightowers were sitting on it.
