"A typical Targaryen family dinner"NOT A SINGLE member of the royal family wished to attend the arranged dinner, excluding the King. Especially the younger members of the family seemed to react the same at the announcement made to them by their servants, all of them letting out a groan as an answer when they got informed of the King's wishes.
After the trial was over and everyone had parted ways, Jace and Visenya decided to be the ones to cheer up Luke. The younger boy remained in a bad mood even after the succession matter was settled — once and for all since Vaemond was dead. The older pair was thinking of ways to cheer him up, eventually having Baela and Rhaena join them as they wandered around Red Keep talking about all sorts of things. Nothing seemed to work with Luke's situation until Rhaena decided to step up. The girl grabbed her betrothed and walked away from them, heading to the royal gardens as she gave her companions a reassuring wink.
Upon Baela's suggestion, Visenya and Jace joined her in the yard. The three of them decided to train until they got to hear a word from Luke and Rhaena. The brunette girl had easily disarmed both Baela and Jace when they challenged her, so she chose to watch as they trained with each other. She did not expect Baela to be that familiar with sword fighting but it seems like Rhaenys had taken care her granddaughter could defend herself when and if time called. It had been plenty of times in the past that Visenya had trained with Jace, helping him develop his skills, and teaching him all she had learned from her brother. Daemon would often join the two kids, but they would mostly train under the guidance of the knights in Princess Rhaenyra's guard.
Her back pressed to the wall behind her as she picked up her nails. That was a trait she had developed lately and something she would do whenever she was nervous or lost in her thoughts. On this occasion, Visenya was both. Her mind was recalling the images in her head, trying to decode the vision she had. Its realness was what had worried her so much, goosebumps rising to her skin the more she thought about it. She was never one to pay attention to omens, but this one certainly made her feel like something bad was approaching, just as she had told Jace earlier. The mystery was what was actually coming.
Time had started to pass. The three of them started getting bored, not having anything to do to spend their time, especially when their dragons were not in King's Landing with them. Rhaenyra had made clear that her sons would not take their dragons there, meaning that Arrax and Vermax would stay back in Dragonstone, whilst Baela's dragon was in Driftmark — Moondancer, though able to travel from Driftmark to Dragonstone and back the past few years, remained a small dragon, not really allowing to Baela to ride on his dance as usually as she wished.
Using as an excuse the fact that she had started growing tired, Visenya excused herself and headed to her chambers.
She was glad her maids were nice enough to prepare her a warm bath. The princess dove into the water, staying there until the sun had set and the water turned cold. She had fallen asleep in the water, aromatic candles still burning around her, when one of her maids woke her up. The young woman was kind enough to help her get dressed into a dress, similar to the one she had worn in the morning. Visenya paired it with a different set of jewelry; her rings remained the same, most of her fingers bearing a golden band, except for the middle finger of her right hand. It had remained bare for the past six years, the ring of Queen Visenya missing all this time. Visenya could not place a finger as to when exactly the ring got missing, but she still had hope the ring her mother had given her, her last gift to her, would be found.
The neck of the brunette girl was decorated with a golden necklace. Red gems could be found on it, shining brightly whenever the light of the candles hit them. Her earrings were of the same color, golden with red gems on them, matching perfectly the rest of her outfit. This time, her hair fell on her back. Her curls rested on her shoulders as some strands were pulled away from her face, braided to the back of her head, and tied with a golden cuff.
