"The omens"HE FOLLOWED HER around like a lost dog, eager to get an answer from the older girl as she seemed more uneasy than he had ever seen her. Visenya would not talk to Jace and he had noticed she wouldn't talk to Aegon either. She had been acting differently lately and Luke was curious to learn what had happened and had gotten her in this state.
"Luke, you've been following me the whole day," The girl pointed out as she swirled the wooden sword in her hand. "Stop it."
"I will stop once you tell me why you're acting like that," The boy announced, making her roll her eyes. She hit the rug doll in front of her once again, looking like she ignored the boy, but he cleared his throat, trying to get her attention.
"How am I acting?" She questioned, striking another hit. "I think I'm pretty normal."
"No, you're not. You've been avoiding us, especially Jace for days now," Luke crossed his hands over his chest and the girl furrowed her brows, faking a confused look with rather success. "You have stopped spending time with us. Jace says you haven't been to the library in ages."
"It's because my schedule is busy. I have classes all day. Plus, I prefer studying in my room," The girl lied with ease and the boy raised his eyebrows.
"What about training?"
"Ser Criston doesn't like me, and I don't like him either. And, as I already said, I barely have any free time," She hit rapidly the figure before her eyes fell on the younger boy. "Plus, I do better when I train alone."
"Of course, static figures make you so much better at fighting," Luke's voice dripped sarcasm, almost taking the girl by surprise if it weren't for knowing that perhaps the boy spent too much time with her. "What about the Dragonpit? Mother said you are allowed to come, and we've been expecting you to join us, but you never do."
"I don't have a dragon, hence no reason to be at the Dragonpit. I prefer spending time with little Joffrey or in the garden."
"You're weird," Luke said with a sigh and opened his mouth to speak before he regretted it. His expression saddened, making the girl stop her strikes and look at him in confusion.
"What happened, Luke?"
"Have you heard of Ser Harwin?" The boy asked and the girl shook her head, growing even more curious than before.
"No. Is anything wrong?"
"Mother said there was a fire," Luke whispered and Visenya's eyes widened. "Ser Harwin and his father died in the fire."
"What? When did that happen?" The girl dropped her sword, shocked by the younger boy's words. It had not even been a whole day since the Commander had left King's Landing, and now that?
