19 Ready

A few more times, Kal and Bruce went outside. Kal purposely didn't use his super hearing abilities. Over the week, Kal stayed out longer and longer. Kal allowed Bruce to hold his hand but nothing more with his hands.

Kal came to Bruce's study and came to the desk.

Bruce looked up from his papers and asked, "How are you doing?"

"I think I'm ready," Kal said. He went around the desk to be beside him.

Bruce sat down his papers. He said puzzled, "You're ready?"

"I think I'm ready to see the Justice League," Kal clarified.

Bruce stood up. "Really?"

"Really." Nervousness was still there in Kal's composure, but he was ready.

"Let's do it," Bruce said.

Bruce was excited whether he showed it or not. He immediately made contact with whoever was available from the Justice League. Some were excited, while some were just too busy. He made sure to message them what not to do, for Kal's sake

Bruce threw on his Batman gear while Kal stayed in his flannel. Batman flew them in his batplane.

They arrived at the Watchtower.

Kal and Bruce walked into the meeting room.

Sitting there were Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash and Green Lantern. They were all sitting at the large table. When they saw who walked in, the air shifted in the room.

The Flash was the first to speak up. He stood up from the table. "Superman, it's been so long since we've seen you! Glad to have you back."

Already broke one rule.

Green Lantern sighed, "He wants to be called Kal, Speedy."

"Oh, right Kal!" The Flash said nervously. "I meant Kal."

Kal glanced over at Bruce clearly amused. "You told them?"

Bruce asked, "Was that a secret?"

"No," Kal replied. "I'm just surprised." He looked back to the group and said, "It's nice to see you again."

"Yeah," Green Lantern said. He got and went to the two and The Flash Followed. "It's been so long. Are you going to go back to being a superhero?"

Kal froze as he thought of an answer. He looked to his side and said, "I'm not ready yet."

Aquaman said, "Well, the surface world is ready for you to come back. Every time I come back from the seas, I hear nothing but how much they miss you... And the fact that you are sleeping with Bruce."

"But that's just gossip tabloids!" The Flash added quickly. "You know how crazy the papers go when two people simply lay eyes on each other." He chuckled. "I know that has been weird."

Bruce just stood as his stoic self with his mask covering half of his face.

Kal had more surface area (100%) of his face exposed. It was obvious when his face turned red with his eyes to the ground.

"No," Green Lantern said amused. "Really?!"

The Flash said to the Green Lantern, "You owe me twenty bucks."

"Dang it," he replied, recognizing he betted on the wrong side.

Batman said, "You made a bet if Kal and I were together?"

The Flash looked as if he was found with his hand in a cookie jar. He shrugged, "I bet for you..."

Batman just stared at him with his Batman intimidating glare.
