Finally, after leaving that psycho I can breathe. I bought a 2-bedroom apartment, I finished college, and I have a good-paying job as a nurse in a children's mental hospital. I also work with Felix and his friends Seungmin and Jeong-in who aren't that bad. We have more friends who work with us but they are either on different floors or in different divisions or just work a different job entirely so we don't see them much unless we hang out. Life is good and I'm so happy.
I sit up from my bed after just staring at the ceiling and decide to go get some snacks since I was running low. I put on a blue hoodie, grey sweatpants, and white Doc Martins. I grab my wallet and begin to walk to the store. I get to the store and start to pick some snacks. This place had some Japanese-type snacks so I grab some pocky and some spicy noodles. I go to the guy at the counter and noticed he was eyeing me very intensely.
"Is something wrong?" I ask which seems to catch him off guard. "No it's just that I thought I saw your face somewhere..." he said as he calculated the total of my items. "That will be $20.39, sir." he said, I didn't have any cash and there wasn't an atm so I just used my cash app card. I buy my stuff and he packs them into bags while he glances up at me from time to time. He hands me my stuff and as I'm about to walk out he asked something that caught me off guard. "Is your name Hwang Hyunjin by any chance?" I look back at him with the best-confused face I could muster. "No? Who is that?" I say hoping he didn't notice the shake in my voice.
"Hm, I must have confused you for someone else, sorry sir." he said as he went back to looking at his phone. I wave bye to him and walk out of the store calmly. As soon as I was a block away from the store, I ran for my life back home. I get in and make sure I locked the door and put in the chain lock. I was scared. 'How the fuck did he know my name?!' I think as I stand up and walk over to the kitchen. I put all my stuff away and decide to watch tv. I sit down and turn on a random movie Changbin recommends. We don't see much of each other since we live 1 hour away from each and he is always working.
I was about an hour into the movie when I heard a knock on my door, I got up and went to answer it but something felt off. I felt like if I opened this door that something bad would happen so I look through the peephole and was confused. I saw the cashier from the store in all black but his face wasn't covered. He knocked again but I just watched him. I then see him take out his phone and dial a number. "Sir, he isn't answering, maybe he isn't home...yessir...ok I'll let you know." he talked to someone over the phone. He ended the call and walked away. I waited until I hear the door at the end of the hall open and then slam closed to peak out. I look back and forth but the boy wasn't there.
I closed and locked my door before sitting back down on the couch and wondered what he wanted. I was confused and scared, not only did he recognize me but he came to my house to tell his boss about my whereabouts. I thought about it before my mind instantly remember 𝗛𝗶𝗺. 'It can't be, he couldn't track me because I was out of range. Even sold my stuff and got a new phone and laptop. I even stopped posting on social media so he wouldn't find me. It can't be him' I thought. I began to grip my hair so hard I thought I was going to tear it out. I run and grab my phone and call Felix.
He answered me a few seconds later. "Sup Hyung." he said. "FELIX I THINK HE FOUND ME!!!" I yell while sobbing. "WHOA!!! Calm down. Here breathe in and out. In and out." he said and I obeyed which calmed me down a bit and stopped my sobbing. "Tell me what happened now." he said. "I think Chan found me, the cashier at the store knew who I was and came to my house. He talked to someone on the phone and called someone 'Sir' and told them I wasn't home. It has to be him." I said. I had to be him theirs no other way.
