ch9 the wolf-day bash

Tails pov
I got up this morning and noticed that I was the only one home so I knew Daniel must have went for a walk,so went to my workshop/garage to work on my gift for him about five hours later I heard the door open then shut realizing that Daniel's home I quickly left and went back inside the house and was grabbed from behind
Daniel's pov hours earlier
I couldn't get much sleep so I got up and looked at the clock saw it was 5 am so I looked back at the bedroom and saw tails fast asleep and I couldn't wake him so I just went outside and walked around town a bit ,I noticed a shop was just opening so I realized it must be 6:30 to 7 and I entered to look for something that me and Tails will both like for breakfast once I found some English muffins and breakfast burritos I went to the counter to pay

Clerk:morning there,find everything ok

Daniel:I did thanks

Clerk:aren't you Sonic's friend and Tails boyfriend

Daniel:wow word travels fast in town huh

Clerk:ha ha yeah it sure does,but since you are,there is a discount for you if you want

Daniel:umm ok why not

Once I payed and thanked her I went back home once I entered and put breakfast on the table I saw tails come in from the workshop/garage I went and grabbed him from behind startling him but he calmed down once I turned him around giving him a morning kiss

Tails:(backing up) Daniel you scared me what were you thinking

Daniel:(looking down)sorry tails I couldn't sleep well last night so I went for a morning walk and got breakfast for us

Tails:oh ok well just give a heads up next time ok ,hey (puts a hand on Daniel's cheek) I'm not mad was just worried that's all

He grabbed my hands and and brought me to the kitchen so we could eat afterwards we were watching TV on the couch

Daniel:tails

Tails:hmm

Daniel:what were you working on in the workshop you haven't said anything to me all day

Tails: it's not important right now

Daniel:oh um ok

Tails: trust me it'll be worth the wait

Before I could ask the phone rang and Tails went to answer, when he came back he seemed excited and told me not to ask any questions and in a hour head to Sonic and Amy's
I nodded then he left and in an hour later I did as instructed and went towards Sonic and Amy's and once I got there Tails was waiting for me

Tails:hey,you ready

Daniel:(Tilted head)huh for what

Tails: (laughing) come on in and you'll see

Once we entered the house the lights turned on and I was startled by so many people saying surprise and Tails hugged me from behind

Tails: happy birthday babe

Daniel:how did you

I turned to look at him and he was shocked to see that I wasn't happy

Tails: I thought after what you told me you deserved a good birthday

Once I realized what he said I kissed him and after parting I started to cry

Daniel:thank you Tails I love you

Tails:love you too Daniel and no I didn't say anything about your past that's between us

Daniel:thanks and did you call me babe(tilting head)

He nodded and I laughed ,once everything was settled and I met and was greeted by all the guests Sonic and Amy brought over for my birthday party and when it was time for gifts I was at a table mostly getting cards or cash then it was sonic and Amy's turn,they led me outside and I saw a stage I looked at them confused and they told me that the piano on stage was for me I hugged and thanked them,then I was tapped on the shoulder it was Tails

Tails: I guess that just leaves my gift(hands me a box)

I opened it and it was a mini microphone that would be put on your ear I turned it on and it works perfectly

Tails:I hope you like it Daniel, it took me awhile to make

Daniel:Tails I love it ,I think I know what to do(goes on stage and starts singing everything by lighthouse)

Once I was done singing everyone clapped and asked me to continue so I did one more and once again I got everyone clapping ,afterwards we had dinner, cake and ice-cream then all the guests said happy birthday to me and I thanked them then it was just Sonic,Amy,Tails and me

Sonic:That was amazing

Amy:Have you always been able to sing like that

I nodded "just not in front of crowd like that or at the club"

Sonic: well you should sing more often bro your great

Daniel:thanks Sonic but I do have something to share (looks at Tails,who nods)
