In the wreckage of Octavius’s laboratory, Spider-Man was searching for survivors in the rubble. No matter how deeply he dug, he could not find his mentor. His hope was running thin. His attention was drawn to a flash of light. Once he turns, he is shocked to see Mary Jane Watson.

“M-MJ?” Spider-Man stuttered. “What are you doing here?”

“Well, Daily Bugle International brought me back from England to investigate the Slayer. Did he cause this?”

“I’m not sure, but I plan to find out. First I have to find him.”

A few miles away from the city, there was an island that was home to a high tech facility. It was known as “The Raft,” an ultra-maximum-security prison that held superhuman and enhanced detainees. A S.H.I.E.L.D. prison transport helicopter was inbound. Once it landed, the security officers approached it. What they expected were prisoners, but instead, there was only the Slayer and a shadowy figure in a cloak. When the officers raised their weapons, a grey cloud flew out of the figure’s body and ate away at their guns like a flame to paper. The figure them little spikes pierced through the officers’ bodies, killing them.

“Good work, Bard,” Slayer said to the cloaked figure. “We don’t have much time. Extract the four we need and get out.”

“As you wish.” He whispered with a slight hiss. He creates a hole in the roof, then drops inside.
All of the prison guards raced to stop Bard, but all perished from his spikes. Eventually, the infiltrator made it to the cell block. He looks around and creates streams of his clouds, each one disabling the locks on the cells. Even the most secure and high tech cells were unlocked. Soon enough a riot occurred.

A guard looked into one of the special cells and was struck by a blast of electricity. Out of the cells came an inmate with a gaunt appearance with glowing yellow eyes. He was Maxwell Dillion, also known as Electro. Any guard that crossed his path was electrocuted to death. Another inmate was in a brutal fistfight with a guard. His name was Alexander O’Hirn, but after he had killed another inmate, Aleksei Sytsevich, he had earned the name “Rhino.” There was one inmate who killed several guards with a shank. He was Mac Gargan, an old villain of Spider-Man. Finally, one inmate was watching from above. He was Quentin Beck, better known as Mysterio.

Meanwhile, the Slayer was in the communications center. He disabled any outgoing alarms. Once he was finished, he radioed Bard. “Escort the four to the helicopter.”

“So be it.” Bard drops his cloak, revealing he is just a silver cloud shaped like a human. He splits into four copies that sneak behind each of the four and knock them out. Maxwell, Alexander, Mac, and Quentin were dragged onto the helicopter. Once Slayer was on board, they took off.

“It was a successful extraction.” Slayer radioed back to base.

At Fisk Tower, Richard Fisk was on the receiving end. “Good. Spider-Man won’t know about the breakout until it’s too late. I’ll inform our new associate.” He hung up and left his office. He takes an elevator down to the eighth floor.
