In the basement of Avengers Tower, there was a large storage room for the team members. The most valuable was Tony Stark's Stark tech and Black Widow and Hawkeye's S.H.I.E.L.D. equipment. Every one of the precious items was securely hidden away. Only the Avengers knew where the items were concealed.

On the ground floor, Rhino was pummeling the floor. The flooring was tough, but a hole would soon form. Meanwhile, Shocker and Electro were on an elevator, heading for Spider-Man. Electro seemed excited for the chance to kill his longtime foe.

"I'm gonna zap that bug!" A few bolts of electricity spark from his hand.

"Calm down," Shocker ordered. "One wrong zap and we end up stuck like a fly in honey."

They reached the desired floor and burst forward. Electro threw bolts of energy every which way. Shocker had to stop him once it was apparent that the hero Spider-Man was not there.

"The hell did he go?"

"Yoo-hoo," they heard Spider-Man say.

When they looked up, Spider-Man had set up a web-slingshot. Electro used his lightning to propel him at the hero, who used the slingshot to launch himself at him. It sent Electro crash through a window. Shocker tries to hit him with a shockwave blast, but Spider-Man dodges and punches him in the face.

"So, what exactly was the plan?" Spider-Man asked.

"The plan was to get Stark Tech for the Slayer. Killing you is the payment we get."

The Shocker charged up his gauntlets. Electro used his own powers to fly him to the window and got ready to zap the hero. Bad news for them, Spider-Man's spider-sense had alerted him to their attacks. Before the villainous Electro could shock him, the hero jumped as Shocker released a shockwave blast that knocked Electro out. Spider-Man attached a web to him, so he dangled. After that, he knocked out Shocker. He left the two tied up on a couch and took the elevator down.

On the ground floor, Rhino had finally made a big enough hole in the floor for Mysterio and Scorpion to jump through. He stayed behind to guard against any web-slingers. When the elevator door opened, Rhino rammed into it and demolished it. He searched for a body that was not there. Slowly, Spider-Man descended with an electric wire and attached it to the armor, shorting it out. Alex O'Hirn climbed out of the armor and was webbed to the floor.

In the basement, Scorpion and Mysterio were collecting all the Stark Tech that they could find. Before they could react, Spider-Man swung down and kicked Mysterio in the head. The villain fell back, and the back of his dome hit the floor, causing it to crack. Scorpion growled and swung his cybernetic tail at the hero. When Spider-Man dodged, Scorpion tried to jump on him, but the hero kicked him upward and webs him to the ceiling.

"Woo!" he exclaims. "Spidey five, villains zero."

Scorpion chuckles. "Did you really think we'd come here doing the same old attacks as before."

"The way said that makes me want to say no."

On the floor above, the deactivated R.H.I.N.O. armor begins to twitch. Grey dust spills out and into the hole. They fell in a pile behind Spider-Man, then they turned into a small tornado in which a humanoid figure was formed. When Spider-Man saw it, he was completely caught off-guard. He looked at the gray, featureless figure.

"What are you? Off-brand Sandman?" He quips.

"Swarm," it says in a soft tone.

"Swarm? Is that because you're a swarm of dust."

His spider-sense was too slow to warn him before the being uppercut him through the hole. It then turned into a cloud and reformed behind Spider-Man as he got up. The police were outside, guarding the perimeter. Swarm punched Spider-Man into a wall, breaking a drinking fountain. Water spilled across the floor. The bizarre Swarm stepped into the puddle.

"I hope you don't find this shocking."

He jumps onto the wall and hits the water with a taser web. Swarm is suddenly paralyzed, but then his body crumbles into a pile of dust. Spider-Man landed away from the water. All of a sudden, his spider-sense rings and he turns to punch something, but someone catches his fist. It was the Green Goblin.
