You woke up, your eyes aching painfully as you weakly sat up.
Your study books were strewn across your lap (some had fallen off the bed), and the clock read 7:00 A.M, which was when your body usually woke you up.
"How much sleep did I get today?" you thought, counting on your fingers.
Two hours and forty minutes.
Space Song was literally the only thing keeping you sane at this point.
You groaned, your muscles hurting as you stood up weakly; You were lucky it was a Saturday. This had been going on for the last month, and every day you almost fell asleep in class.
Trudging to the bathroom, you turned on the tap and splashed your face with the cold water in an attempt to wake yourself up.
Your jaw dropped when you looked up at the mirror.
This can't be happening.
Under your eyes were large, dark, circles; They looked exactly like Shinso's.
Despite what Mina had said, you didn't feel pretty at all.
And you hated yourself for the tears that welled in your eyes.
"Whatever." you muttered to yourself, rubbing your eyes with your hands to remove the tears.
You sighed, looking at your horrible reflection, and walked out.
"You look like shit," Kai commented when you came downstairs to the kitchen.
You rolled your eyes and flipped him off, before chugging a whole cup of cold water. Then you refilled the cup, drank half, and spilled the rest in the sink.
There was a knock at the door, and you went to it in confusion.
Who could be coming over at such a time?
"Hey, gorgeous." Shinso's muffled voice came from outside, "You in there? Can I... come in? I haven't seen you all week..."
You sighed at the hopeful tone in his voice.
"Sure." you said, loud enough for him to hear you.
"Yeah? Thank you."
The door opened and Shinso stepped in, looking around wearily.
"Hey," he smiled tiredly.
"How did you know I was at my dad's?" you asked, still surprised that he was in your house.
"I memorised your schedule." he shrugged, "Are you okay? I haven't seen you all week, you haven't called me, and you haven't even texted me at night like you always do. I was getting a little worried."
"Mhm," you nodded, yawning, "All good."
"You don't look it." he raised an eyebrow, staring down at you.
You averted your eyes to the floor insecurely, thinking about how unappealing you probably looked right now.
"How much sleep did you get last night?" he sighed.
"Two hours." you mumbled, wishing the floor would swallow you up.
"Y/N, you need to sleep."
"Sorry." you mumbled, more tears appearing.
"Fuck off!" you groaned as you rubbed your eyes in frustration.
"Hey hey hey-" Shinso frowned, grabbing your wrists, "What are you doing?"
You looked at him, feeling the sting in your eyes.
"Don't you have better things to do right now?"
"Are you feeling okay?" he asked.
"Answer the damn question." you snapped, freeing your wrists and walking upstairs without a word.
"Y/N!" Shinso called after you as he followed.
"Go away!" you hissed, storming into your bathroom and vigorously rubbing your eyes.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" Shinso said in exasperation as he came into the room.
An unwanted tear ran down your face.
What is this?
"I don't know." you sighed as you looked into the mirror.
"This is what happens when you don't get enough sleep." Shinso said quietly, "You've been running on two hours for the past month and now you're not working properly. How much revision have you done?"
"Nowhere near enough," you said solemnly; Your reflection looked burnt out.
There was silence as Shinso stepped next to you. Now both your reflections were staring back at you.
"I look ugly, don't I?" you asked dully.
"What makes you say that?"
"These." you shrugged, pointing at your eye bags.
"What's wrong with them?" Shinso raised an eyebrow.
"They look shit."
"I have them," he smirked in amusement.
"Yeah, but they look hot on you."
"Well, I think yours look pretty hot on you too." Shinso laughed, making you laugh as well.
"You look like you could be my mini-me." he grinned, nudging you.
"Shut up." you grinned back.
You yawned again, covering your mouth.
"Come on, let's go to bed." Shinso said gently, ushering you out of the bathroom and into your bedroom.
"How come you're telling me to sleep when you barely do it yourself?" you raised an eyebrow.
"Meh." he shrugged, leading you to the bed, "Sleep is for the weak."
"Are you calling me weak?"
"Yes." he smirked, pushing you back until your back hit the soft covers.
"I am not weak." you defended.
"Then why am I on top of you like this?" Shinso grinned smugly, moving his face down so you were inches apart.
You flushed and shoved him off, getting yourself under the covers.
"Cute."
"What's cute?" you asked.
"You." he smirked.
"For real." you smiled as he got underneath the covers too, "I actually agree with that statement."
"Shut up and go to sleep." he laughed.
You whined, "But it's seven in the morning."
"Don't make me repeat myself."
You huffed and turned away from him, making yourself comfortable on your side. After a few seconds, you felt Shinso's arm snake over your waist and pull you against his chest. Your breath hitched at the heart palpitations this was giving you.
"This is... weirdly nice," you commented, your face feeling hot.
Shinso hushed as he pulled your body closer to his, "Relax."
"Alright alright."
You yawned again and shut your eyes. It didn't take long for you to go to sleep, since you were already knackered when you woke up.
Behind you, Shinso was blushing softly.
