After walking through the door that opened in Level 12 Jon, Liz, Lyman, Garfield, and Odie were now in Level 13, the five were not expecting a dramatic change to the environment around them.
The five felt that they were in an apartment and there were many doors on each side, Lyman wanted to explore the rooms but Jon and Liz cautioned him not to do as Clumps were quite common in Level 13.
"At least there is Wi-Fi now!" Garfield exclaimed in a monotone immediately turning on his phone and sending a message to Pooky. "I hope he is doing okay without me." He explained to the four. Jon and Liz looked at each other admiring Garfield's compassion for something they couldn't even comprehend.
Lyman was looking at his tablet more for information on Level 13. "There is an elevator that we can use to get a room." Jon and Liz were amazed to hear the news, Garfield and Odie didn't expect to hear such words uttered by Lyman.
The five saw an elevator and immediately entered, Jon, Liz, Lyman, Garfield, and Odie looked for the ground floor button, Odie found the ground button and pressed it, and the doors closed and the Elevator started to go down and elevator music played. It brought a lot of memories for the five.
The elevator soon dinged and the five walked out of the elevator, there was a door on the right of them that seemed to be from the outside, which the five knew immediately was a fake reality, and to their left was a Faceling who was most likely a receptionist for the apartment. "Excuse me," Liz asked the Faceling "Do you have the key to one of the rooms in this apartment?"
The Faceling gave Liz the key to one of the rooms. Liz thanked the Faceling and the five went back into the elevator again, the five were happy with the speedy service that the Faceling gave them.
The key read "Room 1279", the five soon found their room and they soon settled down where they were going to be for a long time, everyone immediately the Window Entity and knew to avoid it, Jon decided to set up his cartoonist stand, Garfield agreed to reactivate "Ask a Dog" once again, Odie was pleased with Garfield's decision.
"Dear Ask a Dog, I hope you doing alright, how are things going, were are you now?" Garfield read, Odie, barked exactly five times which Garfield interpreted as "We are currently in Level 13, we are going alright, I hope you are going alright as well!" "Thanks, Odie," Garfield told his canine comrade, Odie did a thumbs up in response to Garfield.
"Should somebody scout the area just in case so we can rest?" Jon asked everyone, Liz was in agreement with her boyfriend, and Lyman was also in agreement. "Do you want to scout the area, Lyman?" Jon asked him "I sure will, my friend," Lyman told Jon "It's the least I could do anyway."
"Do you want to go with Lyman, Garfield?" Jon asked his pet cat, Garfield looked at Jon with shock "No way!" he told him "Why should I go?" Garfield frowned with disgust. Jon understood his cat but realised he could bribe him to go with Lyman so he could spend more time with Liz and draw his cartoon.
"How about I give you a cake that is also Lasagna after you walk with Lyman?" Jon offered Garfield. Garfield was shocked to hear this. "Really?!" he asked Jon, "Really," Jon replied. "Okay, Lyman, Let's go!" Garfield enthusiastically ran out of room 1279, and Lyman and Odie followed Garfield.
Lyman, Garfield, and Odie looked across the seemingly infinite corridor, they looked around, trying to scout out which doors to open, they decided to two doors to their right on the other side of room 1377, Lyman opened and the three saw a Clump, Lyman immediately closed the door, the Clump tried to open the door by bashing against it but with no success.
Lyman was shocked by this encounter with the clump and was glad that he was alive despite the shock and the realisation that they were very dangerous entities that should not be interacted with. Garfield soon went to the door on the left and opened it to be met with nothing.
Lyman, Garfield, and Odie could only see nothing in the room, there was nothing but a dark void, Lyman pulled out his torch to make sure it wasn't some magic doing its work, but it was still dark as ever, the three didn't want to go anywhere near the room, Lyman also closed it with as much panic now sweat was dripping from his forehead.
Odie tried to like the sweat off of Lyman's forehead but Lyman refused to his pet dog to do so. "Yeah Odie, leave Lyman alone," Garfield told his canine companion in a bit of a sneery voice. "I am probably going to take a little walk. Do you two want to come with me?" Lyman asked them, Odie barked and yipped in enthusiasm dancing in a similar way he had when Jon wanted him and Garfield to walk with him.
Garfield, however, was not as enthused and in fact, he was bored from the whole ordeal but he decided to go along with Lyman because he had nothing better to do. "Actually, no." Lyman made up his mind "I think we will be lost in the middle of nowhere if we will be lost in there infinite space that is this apartment." Garfield was really happy with Lyman's decision, but Oide was not as happy with his owner's decision.
Lyman, Garfield, and Odie returned to the apartment that Jon and Liz were in. "Lyman? What are you doing here?" Jon asked his friend. "Decided to come back because I was afraid we would be stuck," Lyman explained.
"Lucky for you, I have made some Comics," Jon told the three "and don't worry Garfield, I didn't forget about you," Jon added as he pulled out a cake lasagna, Garfield was pleased. "You know how you told me you were going to draw some comics, Jon?" Lyman asked his friend. "Yes" Jon replied, "I have managed to draw two of them, wanna look?" he asked Lyman. "Of course, Jon! How could I say no?" Lyman replied.
Jon showed Lyman the two comics he was talking about, the first was a Sunday comic showing himself giving a Lasagna and a bone to Garfield and Odie in a similar fashion to what happened at the beginning of their journey before falling to Level 0. The second showed Jon, Liz, Garfield, and Odie walking only for him to see Lyman, the caption in the second panel read for Lyman "Jon?!" with Jon responding with "Lyman?!", the third and final panel showed Jon asking Lyman "What are you doing here?" with Lyman responding with "I accidentally hit myself against a door, what about you?"
"That's quite impressive, Jon!" Lyman complemented "I wonder why you aren't up there with the richest people yet." he added. "I am also in confusion as well," Liz replied. Jon blushed in embarrassment.
"I want to ask a philosophical question." Lyman told everyone "Sure, go ahead." everybody said, "You better not." Garfield decided to think in his head to prevent Lyman from being upset.
"Is someone or something watching us?" Lyman asked everyone, Jon, Liz, Garfield, and Odie scratched their heads. "I thought you didn't have a head, Odie," Garfield told him. Jon came to his conclusion. "I am not sure, but if they exist, I guess they are entertained by our adventures," he explained.
Everybody had a different conclusion, Liz didn't think that somebody was watching them, while Garfield and Odie were on the opposite end, Liz checked her tablet and realised that they could just no-clip at the ground floor to Level 14, Jon, Lyman, Garfield, and Odie were happy with this news.
The five rushed down to the ground floor thanking the Faceling for their service, Jon decided to make a "no-clip competition", Garfield was the first to no-clip into Level 14, with Odie and Lyman a close second, with Jon and Liz no-clipping simultaneously.
