Mk did not have work today and did not have any training with Monkey King. He decided to hang out with Mei instead. It had been a while since they had last seen each other because Mk's schedule had been packed. Mk hopped in his noodle van and drove to Mei's house. They hung out and went to get some food afterwards. During lunch, Mk decided to tell Mei about the situation. "The Six-Eared Macaque, a guy who somehow survived hell, is in a coma??? BECAUSE OF A HEAD INJURY?" Mei was in disbelief. How could The Six-Eared Macaque, who is also immortal, be in a coma due to a head injury? "Yeah, yeah, I know. I'm probably gonna go visit him again later today. Do you want to come with me?" Mei looked up with stars in her eyes and said, "Of course!"
After they finished eating, they got back in the noodle van and drove up the mountain to Wukong's home. Once they got there, Mk suddenly heard a loud crash from inside the house. Mei and Mk rushed into the home to find Macaque on Wukong's back as if he were giving him a piggyback ride. Wukong was trying to get him off, and two shadow monkeys were just sitting there playing his video games. "Get off me, Macaque!" "That is not my name, Peach~" Macaque whispered into Wukong's ear, causing it to turn red. Mei and Mk stood there stunned by what was happening in front of them.
Macaque stopped playing around with Wukong when he saw Mei and Mk. "Who are you two?" he asked with a sudden change of tone while glaring at them. "I'm Mk, and this is Mei. Don't you remember us?" While Macaque was caught off guard, Wukong quickly wrapped his tail around Macaque's leg and got him off his back. "Kid...uh, you're here again..." Wukong said awkwardly. "Monkey King, what happened?" Mei asked. "You know these two?" Macaque asked while being hung upside down by Wukong. "Yeah...Macaque, I need to speak to Mk and Mei in private. Can you leave?" Wukong asked, dropping Macaque on the floor. "Ouch! You idiot, do you know how much that hurt?" Macaque complained while slowly getting up. Wukong turned around and stared at Macaque with a serious face. "Tch, whatever." Without asking further questions, he left and went into his room with Rumble and Savage following behind him.

Me and Mei sat down while Monkey King still looked embarrassed from the situation we walked in on with him and Macaque. However, he quickly shook it off.
"Uhh, Monkey King... did Macaque just forget about us?" Monkey signed while crossing his arms.
"Yes, the head injury must have damaged his brain or something, making him lose his memories, I guess," Mei interrupted. "Do you think he'll be able to regain his memories anytime soon?"
"Amnesia isn't something that can be easily fixed, it can be temporary or permanent," Wukong said with a bit of upsetting tone.
"But isn't that a good thing if he's lost his memories?" I asked.
"What do you mean, bud?" Mei and Wukong looked at me with a confused expression.
"If Macaque doesn't remember all the evil or bad things he's done or why he's done it, then..." I trailed off.
"Then HE IS NOT EVIL NOW," Mei said loudly, interrupting me. Monkey King quickly glanced at us to tell us to keep it down. He didn't want Macaque to hear us.
After we finished talking, Monkey King called for Macaque to come out, but there was no movement. "Macaque," Monkey King said once more while walking towards his room. He opened the door, took a glance, and sighed with relief. I peeked inside to see Macaque on Wukong's bed, lying against a wall with his eyes closed. The two shadow monkeys were on both sides of Macaque, sleeping as well. Mei also peered through the door underneath me. "Aww, he looks so cute," Mei whispered, taking out her phone and taking some pictures. I looked up at Monkey King's face to see a faint smile.
"Uhh, we shouldn't wake him up. I think he might need more rest," Monkey King said, pushing our heads out of the room and gently closing the door. Mei and I thought it was time to leave now since we were only here to check up on them. But before we left, I pulled Monkey King aside to talk to him about Macaque.
"What's up, bud?"
"Monkey King, I think it would be a good idea if you and Macaque spend some time together. It would be good for both of you since you can make new memories, replacing all those bad memories that Macaque now doesn't remember."
"Just because Macaque might have forgotten everything doesn't mean I have forgotten what he's done, kid," Monkey King said, looking annoyed.
"Oh yeah, your betrayal turn Macaque into the person he is today so, DONT GO BLAMING MACAQUE FOR IT!" I blurted out those words without thinking. I looked up, and Monkey King had a dull expression.
"I'm sorry, Monkey King. I didn't mean it. I just think it would be best for both of you to have a restart in your relationship. I want you guys to be friends again."
"I--" Monkey King was interrupted by Mei shouting from outside, "MK, HURRY UP!" I nodded goodbye to Monkey King and ran out of the house. As I hopped onto the noodle van and turned it on, Mei asked, "What took you so long?"
"Oh, I was just telling Monkey King to take care of himself and Macaque," I replied.
Wukong contemplated what Mk had said. He didn't want to believe it, but perhaps Mk was right. It wasn't Macaque's fault; it had never been his fault. It was Wukong's. He had broken their promise and left Macaque at Mount Huaguo, leading to his death. Wukong fell to his knees, allowing memories of good times with Macaque to flood his mind. A single tear silently streamed down his cheek.
"Peach?" Wukong looked up to see Macaque standing there, looking clueless but worried at the sight of Wukong's tears. Macaque quickly ran over and hugged him. "Are you okay? Is it because of those kids?" he asked in a pissed-off tone, holding Wukong tightly and patting him on the back to console him. Wukong usually hid his emotions, not wanting to appear weak. "I'm sorry, Mihou...I'm so sorry," Wukong mumbled before closing his eyes. And there was silence.
Macaque saw that Wukong had fallen asleep, so he carried him to his room and placed him on the bed next to Savage and Rumble, who were still sleeping. Crouching down, Macaque brushed his hand over Wukong's fur. "Were those memories that bad?"
Earlier, when Wukong was talking to Mei and Mk, Macaque had overheard their conversations. He had planned on asking Wukong about them, but before he could, he saw Wukong crying on the floor, apologizing. Now, Macaque was even more curious about what had been erased that could have been so important. He suddenly remembered the kid Wukong had been talking to. "Maybe I can ask that kid. He seems to know my relationship with Peach..."
Macaque gave Wukong a kiss on the forehead and whispered, "I'll see you later, Peach." He then created a portal and walked through it.
In front of him now was a noodle shop. He looked around and saw the same noodle van from earlier. He looked up and saw a shadowy figure moving around. He jumped up next to the window and knocked on it. Mk turned around and saw Macaque standing outside his window.
