(Sorry that took almost 3 weeks. I accidentally deleted half of what I worked on and had to restart. It's frustrating to rewrite this especially after forgetting what half of what this chapter was about and no time. I could have posted this a week early bruh🧎♀️)
Wukong observed the three demons, who were still bound together, with an expression of displeasure etched across his face. He then knelt down to their level and demanded that they explain why they were on his mountain. The middle demon, who looked up at Wukong with a mixture of fear and trepidation, began to speak, "Great Sage, we did not mean to trespass on your mountain. We were being chased and stumbled upon the Six-Eared Macaque. We were in a state of panic and threw a potion we had in our possession. We apologize for injuring him, but it was a spur-of-the-moment decision."
Wukong's interest was piqued when he heard the word "potion" and "Macaque." He demanded that the demon provide more information about the incident in return of their freedom. The demon then led Wukong to the location where they had encountered Macaque. There was a broken bottle on the ground that contained a few drops of purple liquid. Wukong picked up the bottle and sniffed it, instantly finding the smell dangerous but also some how fimilar. "Where did you get this?" he demanded, turning his gaze to the trembling demon.
"We got it from Yin and Jin," the demon replied hesitantly.
Wukong threw the bottle in frustration. Of course, it would be those two. They always managed to acquire powerful objects without being caught. Wukong kept his promise and allowed the three demons to leave with a stern warning to never set foot on his mountain again.
Wukong was a bit nervous now, knowing that the real cause of Macaque's amnesia, and not knowing what the liquid is and the side affect made Wukong stress a bit more. He haven't felt like this since a long time ago, when Macawas sick, but that a story for another time. Wukong shouldn't even be feeling like this, right? But a feeling deep inside was disobeying him. He considered searching for Macaque first but remembered that his successor, Mk, was still alone. As a result, he decided to check on Mk first to ensure that nothing bad had occurred. To his surprise, he found Mk and Macaque together. He was relieved to find that Macaque was safe and that everything was still under control. However, before he could utter a single word, he was taken aback by a warm embrace from aww
Present-
Mk and Mei had been waiting for someone for a while. Mei's paitence start to become thin Mk, on the other hand, remained composed. Mei then fianlly asked, "Mk," Mei groaned, "Why are we waiting for Redson." "I thought an extra help wouldn't be that bad and we haven't seen Redson for a while." Mk replied. Mei and Mk had been waiting for what felt like hours for someone to arrive. As they sat on a bench by the side of the road continuing waiting they exchanged small talk, trying to pass the time , then they heard the sound of a car in the distance. They turned to see a flashy red car speeding towards them. It screeched to a halt right in front of them, and out stepped Redson.
"Redson!!" Mk said excitedly, jumping up from his seat and about to hug him. "Personal space noodle boy." Redson said while putting his hand in front of Mk's forehead to stop him, then giving it a flick. "Ouch! That burn." Mk said while stepping back away from Redson. Mei smiled, relieved to see the familiar face again. "What did you want, spamming me during my beautiful afternoon telling me it was an emergency." Redson said, shoving his phone in front of Mk, showing the 30 missed calls. "We needed your help with something." Mei said, getting up from the seat and walking up next to Mk, leaning her arm on his shoulder. Redson crossed his arms and looked at the two, then let out a laugh. "Hah, and why would I, Redson, help you two idiots?" Mk and Mei looked at each other, then turned back to Redson with an evil grin. "Because you don't have a choice." Mk said, taking out his staff. Mei also took out her sword. Redson looked at the two stun. "Are you two threatening me?" Redson said. "No, we are offering you our weapons so you could help us - OF COURSE WE ARE!" Mei said, pointing her sword at Redson, only a few inches away from his face. Redson stood there frozen and flabbergasted by the two crazy duo. "I was just joking, jeez." He said while putting a finger on the sword and lowering it. "Now what is it?" Mk then continued to explain the situation to Redson, who listened intently, nodding his head every once in a while.
Mei and Mk stared at Redson then at each other, "Welp that was easy." Mei said. "What do you two want help with anyways?" Mk then continued to explain the situation to Redson.
"You idiots are gonna throw a rock on Macaque so he can regain his memories?" Redson said, incredulous. "Mhm." MK and Mei nodded at the same time, unfazed by Redson's tone. "How did he even lose his memories in the first place?" Redson asked, genuinely curious. "I just found him lying on the floor next to a broken glass bottle. His head was injured, and he was unconscious." Redson expression change to confusion. "Injuries from a bottle of glass? That shouldn't affect Macaque that much for him to lose his memories? Unless..." Red trailed off, his suspicions growing. "Was there any strange purple liquid on the floor?" Red asked, looking directly at Mk.
Mk closed his eyes as he tried to recall the scene in his mind. He remembered Macaque on the floor, with blood on his forehead from the cuts. As he thought back to the moment, he realized that Macaque had indeed had some purple substance on his clothes and on the floor.
"Why? Is that bad?" Mei asked, sensing Redson unease. "If I'm correct," Red said, pulling out a book that materialized in his hand in a burst of flames. He quickly flipped through the pages, with Mei and MK peering over his shoulder in curiosity. "One Dropped Memories?" Mk read, "What's that?"
Redson then continued to explain the "One Dropped Memories," a rare substance that can cause memory loss upon contact with the skin. One single drop of this substance can cause the loss of a whole year's worth of memories, which is why it's called the "One Dropped Memories." Mei and Mk exchanged a worried glance, and Mk asked if there was any way to recover those lost memories. "Well," Red said, closing the book with a snap and letting it dissolved into flames, "there might be something we could try. However, they are risky and not guaranteed to work. It's also important to note that the longer the memories have been lost, the less likely it is that they can be fully recovered. But we can certainly give it a try if you wish to recover Macaque's memories that badly." Mei and Mk nodded, feeling a mix of hope and anxiety at the thought of potentially regaining what was lost.
