Chapter 19

The next morning I woke up at 9 which is very early for my standards. I tried to go back to sleep but I just couldn't keep my eyes closed. Instead I got up and went down to the kitchen for some coffee.

When I made it there I saw Emelia sitting at the counter typing something into her laptop. When she noticed me come in she shifted her glasses farther up her nose, smiled and walked over to me. She pulled me into her by my waist and wrapped her other arm around my neck. I instinctively wrapped mine around her back.

"Well Good morning." I said blushing looking down at her.

"Good morning Miss Lancaster." She got on her toes and pecked my lips then let go and walked back to her spot at the counter.

I could get used to this.

I walked over to the coffee pot that had already been brewed.

"I take it my fathers gone then?"

"Uh... yeah he flew out early this morning." She said eyeing me over her glasses.

I nodded my head and poured myself a cup of coffee.

"So I have you all to myself." I spun around and grinned at her.

"Kinda. I have some meetings I have to attend. I don't have any days off for the next two weeks." She frowned at me.

"Would you like me to come with you?" I questioned taking a sip of my coffee.

"Can you honestly say you'd rather go to meetings than goof off all day?" She laughed.

"No Emelia I can't. But I would rather spend time with you than goof off all day." I walked around the counter and sat next to her smiling.

"You're sweet." She kissed my cheek and I felt the area grow hot. "I'll be back around 6 tonight. We can hang out then."

"Okay." I pouted and she laughed at me.

"I'll bring take out. Then we can cuddle all night." She said with a big grin then pushed some hair behind my ear.

"Fine." I groaned and grabbed her waist and pulled her into me. She squealed but stood between my legs while I sat with no complaint. She was taller than me now so I looked up into her eyes smiling.

She cupped both of my cheeks with her hands and smiled down at me. "You're annoying." She giggled.

"And you're beautiful." I smiled back.

She leaned down and kissed me. I can't believe this is my life right now. I am so happy.

She broke the tender kiss after 30 seconds.

"I need to go Clara." She tried to take a step back but I held onto her hips tighter. I didn't want her to go. I want to stay like this forever.

She giggle and put her hands on my arms. "I really have to go or I'll be late."

I let her go with a sigh and turned back towards my coffee.

Unexpectedly she pushed my hair to one side and kissed the back of my neck. With her lips still against my skin she whispered "I'll see you later." Then she turned to leave.

"Bye Emelia." I called after her then she waved and left the room.

I think I'm obsessed with her.

I was bored by noon so I called Stacey and asked her to come over.

She showed up about 30 minutes later and we decided to lay out by the pool and swim.

We were floating on some blowup tubes and relaxing in the water.
