A couple of days later I was again standing before the window staring at the lake.
The sun was leaving sparkles all over the water and it looked really peaceful.
There were some waterbirds like ducks swimming and the flowers at the meadow near the water were gently waving in the wind.
Had I not know any better I would have thought I was on vacation.

A couple of arms going around my waist pulled me back to reality.
Kevin was standing behind me and leaned with his head on top of mine.
We stood there silently for a bit until he spoke up.

"Do you want to go for a picnic by the lake?

"A picnic? Yes, please."

I eagerly responded, I love being outside and so far with Kevin I knew I rarely had the chance to do that.
The only times when he took me outside were countable on one hand.
When we had to moved house thanks to Iris, when he took me on that nerve wracking hike in my underwear and when he took me to that guy after he broke my hand.
Then I remembered the toys and the shock collar he used on one of those occasions and started having second thoughts.

"J-just a picnic right? With my clothes on? Not that bunny suit, or that dog collar?"

Kevin chuckled and shook his head.

"You say you hated that, but I know you loved it. Don't worry, you can go outside in the clothes you have on right now. Come and help me fill the basket so we can eat our lunch outside."

Still a little skeptical I followed Kevin to the kitchen to help him prepare.
While I was making the sandwiches Kevin was checking the fridge looking for something.

"Mmm, that's a pity."

"What is?"

I looked up at Kevin, who was still bent over with his head in half in the fridge.
Kevin got up and scratched the back of his head thinking about something.

"We're out of orange juice. Oh well, I guess we can bring the ice tea instead. Unless you want milk or... uhm what's this?"

Kevin pulled a bottle out of the fridge to check the label.

"Ai, how long has this bottle Limoncello been standing in the fridge? Must have been from five years ago."

Five years ago?
Last time he moved he said be bought the house recently, why would have done that if he owned this one too?
And how many houses does he own anyway?
I already know that money isn't really an issue for Kevin but despite that he doesn't own houses that are extravagantly big.
They are small enough for a single person to keep clean.
I know because I do most of the cleaning while Kevin is working.
They are just very luxurious and high tech, especially the security.
It's not easy to break in or out, although Iris of course had found a way to do so.

"Kevin?"

I asked while I kept stacking the bread inside the container.
Kevin hummed to let me know he was listening.

"L-last time we moved... uhm..."

How was I going to put this without sounding like some gold-digger?
I don't want him to think I will start to like him just because he's clearly rich.
I'm not like that, to be frank he's just scary because of it.
His money is part of the problem why I can't escape him.

"Why did you buy that house if you had this one too?"

Kevin chuckled while he drained the bottle of booze down the sink.

"Because I like that place, it has a lot of private ground. This one has too but not so as much as the other one. When things calm down we will probably go back there. I would still love to see you tied to that one tree begging to be fucked by me."
