Kevin's pov

I woke up in a daze, my head was spinning and I had trouble focusing when I opened my eyes.
What the fuck just happened?
Slowly the events of the day started to come back to me.
My asshole of a father had showed up at my vacation house.
Why had I given that prick the key in the past again...?
O yes... because that bastard demanded it when I bought it.
I should have changed the locks right after, but then again, I was naive back then.

"Baby? Are you okay?"

I asked while I felt around for my precious girl, only to find an empty seat next to me.
My heart stopped when I realized she wasn't there, shocked I stared at the empty space beside me.
Where is she?!
Did she run again?

I managed to get out of the car and scanned the area around me.
The airbag on her side had been cut, it could have been done with a piece of glass.
Did she break the window to escape me?
But looking at all the glass in the car it was clear the window had been smashed from the outside, so she didn't break it.
The door on her side was stuck and there was also blood on the pieces of glass sticking out the window frame, most likely someone pulled her out through there.
That means she didn't run, I thought relieved.
But she was injured, that didn't sit well with me.
I need to find her fast, she needs me.

Seeing as my car was useless like this I looked around to asses my options.
The car that crashed into mine was missing.
It hadn't been a hard crash, but it had been enough to send my car spinning and crashing into a tree.
I stared at my phone, it was completely smashed and unusable.
There was no way I could call one of my friends to pick me up.

Angry because of the situation I was in I threw the worthless piece of crap against the dammed tree.
How was I going to find my sweetheart with no car and no phone?!
But then my eye fell on a cellphone that was carefully placed on the front window of my car.

I picked it up and just as I suspected there was one number pre-installed on it... my father's.
That fucking bastard was behind this, I should have known.

I pressed the number and let the phone ring as I tried to collect my mind so I wouldn't not lash out the second that prick would pick up.
The phone kept ringing and my irritation kept rising, the bastard's making me wait.
I know he has the phone near him, I know he sees my call and I also know he's going to wait until the very last moment to pick up.
He's fucking predicable.

"Hello boy, how nice of you to call your old man for a change."

"Fuck you, where is she?!"

I snapped the moment I heard his voice.
So much for keeping calm, but the thought he's messing with my girl was really getting to me.

"I doubt that is the correct way to ask for something you want."

My grip on the phone tightened and I had to remind myself to keep calm.
Just entertain the asshole for a bit, you need to find clue's on where he keeps her.
You're doing this for her, I reminded myself and breathed out slowly to continued a little calmer but still very irritated.

"Where... is... my girl?"

"I guess we still need to work on that. She's here, if you want to hear her you'd better ask it the correct way."

He really just loves to push my buttons, that bastard has me by the balls.
Think, think, where could he have hidden her?
What would be the most logical place?

"Father? How long is that thing going to be in my room?"

I heard my younger sister whine somewhere far in the background.
Bingo, I know where he is.
My sister despises traveling and only stays at one place.
Not even my father has ever been able to get her to move.
Pretending like I didn't just hear that I continued the conversation with my father.
