Raven was always an intelligent, observant and curious child. It was just in her nature. All in the same she could be very loud and demanding when she thought she needed to be. For example, one time when she was five, her older sibling Maxi had, according to her, offended her by excluding her from a game they were playing with the other orphans their age because, according to them, she was too young, immature and annoying to play with, Raven had, of course, resolved this by throwing the biggest tantrum in her life (so far).
It was this curiosity that led to Raven agreeing to dig up information about Maxi and her family. It also could have been the reason why she had that dream that night. Well part of the reason.
It seemed to be more of a forgotten or suppressed memory rather than a dream. She looked down at herself. Her hands and body seemed to be unnaturally small, almost toddler like which was why she came to the conclusion that this was in fact a memory.
She looked up. She saw a teenage boy, in between the ages of 14-16 on his knees in front of her and he looked so similar to her that he must have been a family member, an older brother if she had to guess.
But... everything was wrong. His face, despite looking so similar to her's, was blurred and she couldn't properly make out his facial features like eyes or nose but she could still tell that he was somehow related to her. Everything was off and she didn't like it. She much preferred when she knew exactly what was going on and why.
And he kept mumbling something over and over again in between his cries and soft hiccups. The words began to clear and Raven was soon able to decipher what exactly it was that he was saying. "Raven... I'm so sorry... I failed you... please don't hate me..."
Raven was so confused. He didn't fail her, he couldn't have... after all he was her æbīg b4ø5hë4 Jæ6fûīmÅœñō. The memory timed out making it so Raven couldn't hear that last part and Raven was jolted awake from her slumber quickly breathing in shock and fear.
The 7 year old pushed the covers off of herself before going to shake her older sibling awake. "What is it, what do you want it's still too early" Maxi complained.
"I have more information" Raven said causing Maxi to bolt up.
