Meeting you for the very first time:
Adrian held his baby brother's hand in his, the 8 month old blabbering on to him trying to form words other than dada. He then kissed Samuel on his forehead and dashed out the door to go to school. Sure he could've taken a much quicker and easier route but he much preferred walking, especially because his school was only a short distance away and it was his first day of 1st grade so it was important to make a lasting impression. After all he was in the digits schooling as he liked to call it. As he got to class he looked around. His goal for the year was to become everyone's friend. His task was already about half way done since half the class he was friends with in Kindergarten.
Last year he was too shy to talk to other kids outside of his class but this year would be different. He noticed a girl and a boy sitting at a table talking to each other. Now from what he knew (which wasn't a lot considering he hadn't talked to them nor asked anyone in his kindergarten class about them or anyone else outside of his class for the matter, just mostly caught a few glimpses here and there) they looked pretty friendly enough.
The girl had tan skin, thick wavy black hair and shamrock green eyes, meanwhile, the boy had short, straight, golden blonde hair and sapphire blue eyes.
He walked up to the pair steeling his nerves on the way there. Adrian asked if he could sit with them and mentally let out a sigh of relief when they said yes. "So what's your name?" The boy asked, "My name's Sven Friks and this is Reyna Moreno."
Adrian smiled, greatly relieved that they were as kind as he initially thought before saying "My name's Adrian, Adrian Genkins."

It's my birthday, and my favorite present is you:
Reyna paced nervously back and forth, wringing with her hands constantly. "He's gonna come, it's not like he never does. If it was for you, I'm sure he'd cross the whole world and back." Sven said letting one of his legs lazily hang off her bed.
"I know, it's just that this birthday is special, I'm turning 8 and... WAIT WHAT!" She yelped the last part after her brain finally caught up to what he fully said her face blushing a deep beet red.
"What's THAT supposed to mean!" Reyna demanded her blush deepening even further (if that was somehow even possible) when Sven told her that she knew exactly what he had meant.
She heard a knock on the door and she froze. She was so occupied with what Sven said that she didn't even notice the sound of footsteps approaching the door. She rushed to open the door and was immediately met by Adrian.
"Hey Reyna! I'm sorry I was running late so I couldn't get you a gift but-" she cut him off, "you being here is the best present someone could give me." She said with a smile.
Reyna caught Sven giving an 'I told you so' look at her from the corner of her eye and so the next opportunity she got where Adrian wasn't paying attention she stuck her tounge out at Sven.
"Did you walk here by yourself again?" She asked as she turned back to face Adrian.
"Mmm hmm" he hummed nodding his head.
"My parents won't let me, they said that it was too dangerous." Reyna mumbled letting some envy slip into her tone.
Adrian either didn't catch it or actively chose to ignore it because he responded with an enthusiastic "I'll take you one day!"
"Really?" She asked her mood brightening instantly.
He simply nodded "Anything for you."
Sven wondered when they would just confess already, they were so oblivious that it was giving him second hand embarrassment and he wished he didn't have to watch his best friends mutually pine over each other while being idiots. He sighed knowing that he'd have to take matters into his own hands.
