Land Of Wishes | JiKook short stories {Hiatus}

{a/n: Hello everyone! Since I'm feeling hype today, (Mar. 6, 2023) I'll be working on the second part of this story. Yehey! And if everything turns out great, I might be posting two chapters of this cute story today... Wish me luck!}

Once Jimin and Jungkook enter the bakeshop, the smell of sweet pastries and the aroma of brewed coffee and hot chocolate welcomes them... Jimin is carrying an empty tray of eggs, which made him shiver in fear but he already has a valid reason as to why he lost all of it... In his defense, he cares and values everyone in this world, thanks to his loving parents who taught him and his brother well.

"I'll just talk to appa about what happened... Go find an empty seat, I'll serve you some food..." Jimin smiles while looking at the cute kid next to him. "Would you like some chocolate chip cookies and milk?"

Jungkook nods, too embarrassed to turn down the latter's mouthwatering offer. He then proceed to his main goal which is to search for an empty spot near the window... Truth to be told, the entire place looks cozy and warm, something that Jungkook prefers to be with everyday... His parents are always busy with business and overseas trips that the child already forgot the feeling of having their parents with them... Jimin on the other side, looks so happy helping with their business... Even though he isn't allowed to go to the kitchen to help, he can still be able to do some duties like bringing eggs or milk from their house to the shop... He likes helping in any way possible, as it is his own way to make other people happy...

When Jimin explained what really happened to his parents before they came to the shop, they were both terrified... Their own son manage to help the young boy dodging a horrifying act of a stranger... His cry for help alerts the clueless authories which made the stranger's plan fail... Mr. Park looks at his son with such admiration, as Jimin really made him so proud...

"Forget about the eggs, Min-ah... What you need to do is to stay with your new friend as he needs someone who can help him forget about the events happened today... I'll be the one to prepare your food instead..." Mrs. Park caressed her child's cheeks.

"Thank you eomma... I'll promise to clean the table after!" Jimin bowed to his parents before striding towards Jungkook. "Hey! I'm back!"

Jungkook looks into the direction of the voice and stared at the ball of fluff in front of him. "H-hi..."

"Feeling better?" Jimin asked as he settles on the chair upfront.

"Hmm..." The latter nods. "I thought he will kill me, considering how he looks at me..."

"Good thing I saw him being weird while walking towards you... Gosh! He even look as if he's a straight pedophile character from the book that my brother currently reading! So scary!" Jimin comically responsed.

"What's a pedophile?" Jungkook question, feeling more comfortable to Jimin.

Jimin shrugs. "My hyung said, a pedophile is an adult who likes to fantasize being with younger kids in a sexual manner... And they didn't care whether the children is girl or boy... As long as they can fulfill their sick fantasies, then they are good to go..."

"Wait, so that stranger wanted to kidnap me for that reason?" Jungkook's face turned pale, his body shivering.

"We don't really know his real intention as to why he is approaching you... But I guess it is better if we shouldn't jump into conclusion..." Jimin smiled. "Anyway, is there anyone who could pick you up here? Maybe your mom or dad?"

Jungkook shook his head. "My parents are in America right now... Only me and my brother Jin, who's currently busy with his Tennis training, lives in our house... How about you?"

"Actually me and my family came from Busan... My appa is a great pastry chef, so he shoot his shot here in Seoul, where he established our family business..." Jimin looks at the window and enjoy watching a few busy people on the street."My brother is currently enrolled in the BH High School, 2nd year..."

"Second year too? What section is he?" Jungkook looks at him curiously. "Is he also part of any club?"

"Yes he is! He is part of Chess and Book lovers club!" Jimin exclaimed. "He is very smart and good looking... Even his classmates fell for him..."

Jungkook, being himself, doesn't want to lose on his angel... Of course his brother is better than his! His Jin-hyung is good in tennis and cooking and he can play guitar and piano well... He is very good in pranking people and dreamed on becoming a famous YouTuber... "Well your brother might be popular with his classmates, but my hyung is popular with everyone! He is both funny and kind and he looks like a prince!"

Jimin blinks. "O-kay? So I guess your brother is nice as well? Not too stubborn like you?"

"What?" The latter replied. "What do you mean?"

"Nothing..." Jimin replies shortly but sweetly. "Oh look! Our food is here!" He exclaimed as he took the pastries from their robot waiter.

"Oh my gosh! A real robot!" The young Jeon carefully inspect the piece of metal infront of him, touching its head. "Where did you bought it?"

"Ooh! That's Joonie-hyung's invention... He told my parents that it would be more convenient if a robot will serve our costumers instead of real people... At least it will be less hassle and less workload for our employees..."

"Wow it look so cool! And it can speak too! My hyung will definitely like to come here sometimes..."

Jimin chuckles. "You can always bring your hyung here so that we can have fun! Joonie-hyung will surely like your company too, not to mention, a potential friend in this neighborhood..."

"That's true! For sure my brother won't lose to your cool brother in terms of sports and humor..." Jungkook proudly uttered.

Jimin truly enjoys his time with the handsome kid who slowly opens up about his hobbies and interests. Unbeknownst to the latter, Jimin enjoys the same hobbies and interests as him... Destiny is real!
If things go smoothly, maybe they can treat each other as friends and not just kids bickering about who's better than who...
