5.11 part I: The Selection

When Jungkook and Jimin reached then parking lot to get the spare hoodie in the compartment, the smaller can't help but to feel ashamed of everything happened to them... His beautiful and sparkling eyes that held millions of stars were now dull and lonely, as if it was clouded with so many emotions that he cannot convey...
Jungkook can't help but to clenched his fists, as he was already fuming at the memory of Jimin being embarrassed by his ex... He'll definitely erase that smug look out of Felix next time...

"I think you should hurry up and change your clothes, Cherry... We only have a few minutes before our next class..." Jungkook reminds him while offering the hoodie.

"Ne Jungkook-ssi, tell me something honestly... Am I really pathetic?" Jimin asked softly. "Guess I'm too stupid to fell in the trap of an abuser who clearly loves his ego more than anything..."

Jungkook sighs deeply at what he just heard. "What are you talking about, Cherry? You cannot blame yourself for falling in love with him, most especially if he acted the opposite from his true and sadistic self..." He caresses the smaller's cheek with his thumb. "Reality is miles away from the image we are trying to portray in front of everyone, so it is hard to tell whether we met the right person or the wrong one just because of their actions and sugar coated words..."

"If what you said is true, then is Jungkook-ssi only doing this as an act of pity? Sympathy for someone who became a victim of abuse? I know I'm not making sense, but I'm already scared to face the reality that you're also different from how I know you..." The smaller looks down. "I'm already losing myself with my own doubts and demons that I don't know what to expect from people..."

"Then rely more on me, Cherry... I won't say that the Jungkook you're seeing now is different from the Jungkook that my friends met before... But just to clarify things, I'm not gonna deceive anyone just to get in their pants... If they can accept me for who am I, and who I really am, then I'll be gladly open up to them..." He replied. "I don't want to fool people in thinking that I'm clean and a saint, yet deep inside I'm nowhere near those words..."

Jimin looks up and his eyes. "I do believe that you're different from Felix... And if only I have a time machine to go back from the time we first met, I'd rather meet the younger you than to meet him..."

The taller chuckles and shrugs his shoulder. "If ever we met before, I'm so sure that you're the person I wanted to date with, rather than my crush..."

The two kept looking into each other's eyes for few seconds until Jimin's phone rings... The said call is from one of his group mates for their first theater task... Jimin silently asked Jungkook if he can take the call, which the taller nods in agreement...

As soon as Jimin accept the call, a panic voice from the other line can be heard through the speakers saying...

"Park! You have to come here right now! Mr. Shin, he... he... *call suddenly disconnected*"

Just what the fuck is going on that his classmate Hyunjin seems frustrated and stressed just by hearing his voice?

Jungkook held his trembling hand and kissed it. "Come Cherry... I'll take you there... Maybe we can check what's happening with your classmates..."

Jimin nods weakly. "Okay..."
