"Hello ladies, please change into your leotards." -5 minutes later- Maria walked in dressed in pink tights , a black leotard, and worn ballet shoes. "Tendu, close 5th, coupe, passé, coupe, close 5th, tendu, chase, turn, do the other side. Clear as mud, ladies? says Mrs.D as all the girls nod. Kylie motions to Maria to come share a bar with her. As they do the combination Maria surveys the room looking for friends or acquaintances. When she turns to Tamatha, Tamatha catches her eye and waves. Ms. Kofées walks in holding a clipboard and sits in a chair occasionally complimenting or correcting dancers. After a while when class lets out Maria grabs her instruments and begins to make her way to the auditorium for band. A couple minutes later she realizes she hasn't the slightest idea where the band room, luckily just as she made the realization Tamatha appeared. "Hey are you lost" Tamatha asks as Maria nods back quietly. "Where are you going?" Tamatha asks quickly. "Band" Maria replies. "Oh, it's in the same place as orchestra. I can take you" Tamatha says. "Thank you so much!" Maria squeals as Tamatha leads her to the auditorium. On the way they talk as it is a long walk. Maria without realizing it already felt their friendship beginning to bloom.
