"Where am I?" I groaned out, I knew I was kidnapped, my neck was sore from an injection, and I was cold. Typical of a man who wants to end the heroes. Per usual I would have to escape and act as if nothing happened to the hero's pleasure, and their lack of acknowledging my existence.
"My dungeon, a lovely location for someone who will give me everything I want." Lucifer walked into my room, his suit was beautifully put together, while his hands were soaked in someone's blood.
"Yeah, right? Or what you'll kill me? Don't worry, I already tried that pretty boy." I spat at his feet while he joined me on my bed, his freshly tailored suit contrasting my own tattered jeans that I haven't replaced in years and my graphic t-shirt of the week.
"You-, no one should ever try that." Lucifer sat next to me fully, his hands neatly folded on his lap. His eyes were genuine when he said that, as if looking for the reason I would want to do something like that.
"I'm the hero's sidekick, and the heroes left me to die in a fire, so I took the chance and stopped screaming. Someone found me." I admitted as I shifted myself away from him, further into the corner of my rather lavish room.
For being in the basement I had freshly painted walls and a carpet floor, a twin bed with new sheets and a wardroom with a vanity and a bathroom attached. A chest was at the foot of my bed with what I was told to be more blankets and sheets if I needed them.
"They heard you. They went looking for you, right?" The villain had a shocked expression as his hands fidgeted. I could tell he had this set image of the heroes, and my statement made him start his evaluation on societies bravest.
"When I got out of the hospital, they acted like I was never gone. I never took medical leave to recover, so now I have issues with movements and breathing. It's alright though since I don't have to use either of them to engineer. Plus, I can always relax now that I'm kidnapped, unless you torture me." I stated wincing as I leaned back. In all honesty I was crushed under the building four weeks prior.
"You need medical attention. I don't care that I kidnapped you, they abused you with you being blind to it and now you're suffering. Unacceptable." Lucifer stood up, his eyes burning over as he exited the room, presumably to threaten the heroes.
"Don't worry they won't come for me. No one does." I grumbled, leaning into my bed to watch the ceiling.
I noticed I had a window to the outside world, the sun shining in my room. I was in his basement, but I could see the sky, meaning I wasn't underground. From my bed I saw it was decent sized, but what boggled me was when I sat up, I saw towering buildings and more so, the very tops of them only. I was in his skyscraper.
