"HEADMISTRESS DOWLING,  you wanted to see me?" Augustine asked, peaking through the door of the headmistress' office. She had separated from her friends after being told that Headmistress Dowling wanted to see her.

"Ah yes, come in." Dowling called out , from her office.

Augustine wandered in feeling mellow but that quickly changed to shock when she saw her parents sitting with the Headmistress.

Normally, Augustine would have ran straight to them and brought them into a tight hug but the glaringly alarming look on Fletchers face made her cautious.

"Take a seat, Augustine." Dowling advised and Augustine complied. She sat on the velvety chair next to her mother who hadn't even looked at her yet.

Despite the tense atmosphere, Dowling looked very calm. "I'm sure you're wondering why you're here, Augustine."

The princess nodded.

"It has come to my attention to this meeting between you, King Fletcher, and Queen Adria was of importance." Dowling look at each of the royals as she addressed them.

Augustine fidgeted in the chair.

She started thinking about all the things she could be in trouble for.

Did they find out about Riven staying over?

Did she not clean her room before she left?

I swear I did. Augustine thought to herself.

Her leg started bouncing up and down until her mother placed a cold hand on her knee, prompting her to stop abruptly.

Dowling stood from her chair and began walking towards the door. "I'll leave you all to talk." And with that she was gone.

The moment the door closed, Augustine felt the weight of her parents eyes on her. She suddenly felt like a toddler waiting to get scolded.

Her mother was the first to start. "When we gave you that phone of yours what did you think it was for?"

Augustine replied timidly, keeping her eyes on her shoes. "So I could communicate with you both." She mumbled.

"Speak up." Adria snapped softly.

"To communicate with the both of you." Augustine repeated, louder.

Adria hummed, "If that's so how come you failed to do so?"

Augustine looked up with a confused look in her eyes. "I don't understand."

"Have you not seen the hundreds of calls and messages from not only me and your mother but also our kingdoms head of security?" Fletcher spoke with underlined anger.

Augustine wanted to drown herself as she stupidly replied. "I was going to answer them later."

Adria scoffed, "Augustine we were worried tremendously about you and you didn't even both to let us know you're okay."

Augustine furrowed her eyebrows, "Of course I'm okay, why wouldn't I be?"

Fletcher suddenly stood up and started pacing. "You haven't even read our messages." He said, in disbelief.

Augustine's eyebrows furrowed and she took a proper look at her parents. Her father had dark circles which highlighted his eyes, his hair was messy and he looked considerable pale. Her mother was very fidgety, even jumpy. The sound of Dowling closing the office door had made her made her flinch.
